Citroen CX 2400 Pallas 1981 4D Sedan 5 SP Manual

1981 CX2400 Pallas 5 speed manual, in great mechanical and structural condition but requires cosmetic tidying.

Great mechanically, drives very well with smooth responsive engine with new plugs, cleaned air filter, recently replaced carby, etc. Hydraulics are working well with no leaks, goes up and down exactly as it should and has a very comfortable floaty ride with the spheres all good.

Brakes and diravi power steering also in great working order, slight pull to the right at speed so could do with a wheel alignment.
Starter motor is sticking from time to time is the only issue on mechanical side but this frees up with a tap on the casing.

The bad about this car is the doors, the bottoms of all the doors have rust and are in need of repair. The bonnet is also not the best on the paint front with flaking clearcoat, a couple of places where the paint has cracked off and generally needs that whole panel sanded back and properly repainted. The structure of the car is sound however and can be inspected up on the hoist here prior to purchase with no rust underneath.

Car is currently running on Alfa 147 17” wheels, all with good condition tyres.

The interior is pretty good aside from the drivers seat which is frayed at the top, all the door cards are in great condition. Electrically the fuel and oil temp dials are both inoperative but the rest of the electrics work fine.

So basically we have a good sound base for a project that needs someone with enthusiasm for these cars to take on the job. It could be a perfectly usable rolling restoration given it drives so well but is just cosmetically tired in a few places.

Included in the sale are a decent quantity of CX parts including CX Gti wheels, S1 grills, 3 more good condition door cards, mechanical parts etc etc.

Car is in Cheltenham, Vic 3192 sold with no rego and no rwc
