I'm selling my Daihatsu Charade and feel sad to say "Goodbye". I bought my car brand new in 2003 and it has been the BEST car I have ever owned. A full tank of fuel lasts me four weeks, if I don't have the air-conditioner on; three weeks with air-conditioning on. It is a manual with 5 speeds, goes like a bullet, has brand new tyres, has just had a service (118,000kms) and all services have been done and kept up to date, except the 110,000km service. It has a brand new battery as of about a month ago and a new muffler as of four months ago. This car has always found me the BEST parking spots, has always been reliable and has never broken down on me. It has power steering, automatic windows and dual airbags. It is a real little beauty. I need to tell you the truth however, and that is that since Day One, it has had bitey brakes first thing in the morning, but once you get going and the brakes warm up, they are fine. I paid for brand new brakes only a couple of years ago to try to fix this, but the brake specialist said it is a fault of the make. My mechanic agreed, as he owned one himself. So, you also get relatively new brakes, even though they still remain bitey. I've had the car for twelve years and the brakes never really bothered me. Also, the rego is almost due. You are welcome to buy my Charade (5 speed, 3 door hatchback) "as is", knowing that it has low kilometres for its age, its mother has looked after it extremely well and is feeling sad to see it go.
