Description
Here's the story on this1975 Datsun B210 VIN# HLB210-083698.
Anyone that knows about these cars is aware they are getting impossible to find because they've either dissolved to rust or have been crushed. Luckily this car has sat in a garage in Illinois for about 40 years is what I was told by the second owner. I purchased the car from the second owner as he was going to start restoring it but recently had an aneurysm and has decided to depart with the vehicle. I'll start with the details of the car, it's a 4-speed manual transmission with the original 1.4 A14 engine. The car is all original and with all of its stock components. The second owner put an electronic distributor but I have the original points distributor that belongs to the car. The second owner stated the original owner says the mileage is of 40K is original. I did notice the speedometer was not working. I have nothing to prove if it has rolled over or not but judging by the condition of the car I believe the miles to be true. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts smoothly. The car also turns on easily and without hesitation. The interior is all in great condition except for the driver seat which has a tear and dash cap a crack. The brakes will need to be gone through as it stops but they are a bit soft. The yellow exterior of the car with the retro louvers are really neat and is the first thing that caught my attention. It still has a decent shine for being the original paint. The hatchback liftgate shocks will need to be replaced as they are wore and original. The second owner provided a brand new aluminum radiator which I will be including but the original radiator is cooling fine and not leaking. All four tires around the car are brand new and original hub caps are in excellent condition with no dings and just need to be repainted when restored. Also included is a yellow carpet trunk liner and I'm not sure if it's original or aftermarket from that era. I also have paraphernalia and old paper work that belongs to the old Datsun.
Now for the nitty gritty. The car considering being 46 years old and how they had rust issues from the beginning, this car is pretty solid. It will need quarter panel patches on both sides in front of the rear wheels. The second owner had already started and cut one side out. Also a fender and rocker panel will need to by patched. There floors and underneath the vehicle is in unbelievable condition. There's the typical surface rust but overall very solid car. I've taken tons of pictures so If you need more pictures please let me know and I can provide some more. I also have videos of the car running.
This car will come with a clear open title and bill of sale. I can help with shipping but car does not leave my home until the funds have cleared. Deposit is non-fundable.
