1978 Datsun 280Z
Silver on Black interior.
Final year of production, this car features many 'GT' options for comfort- A/C, EFI, Auto. Rare dealer option push bars front and back.
Car is a one-owner, lady-driven car from California, with original title in her name.
Original parts have been intact since assembly line: Original pair of keys, OEM Radio, original hub caps (in beautiful condition), original L28 motor, space saving tire, DATSUN can of air, OEM tool kit and jack. Chalks in tool kit still in original plastic, along with parts list paper (see photos, extremely rare it has remained with the car).
Car received a respray sometime during its lifetime. The windows etc. were not removed for the paint job, and has inadvertently 'preserved' the car's originality. The gaps and alignment on all panels are near perfect, never being disturbed since Nissan built it. Engine bay and inner jambs remain in all original paint, and in excellent condition. Back side of hood has superficial surface corrosion
Rust on rear right lower quarter panel, small area on the cowl, and rear hatch upper sheet metal.
Dent on left rear quarter panel above exhaust, minor scuffs and scratches on body. Worst part of the paint is on the roof, where it seems the aftermarket paint has been baked from the sun and peeled, revealing its original 306 Silver paint.
Roof is dent free and undamaged otherwise.
Bumpers, lights and exterior trim is in excellent condition. Stainless window trim, bumpers & chrome is clear and dent-free. Accordion rubbers on car are in excellent condition. Light lenses are crystal clear. Car's frame and underside is extremely clean and rust free.
This is a survivor car, that remains unrestored. Interior door cards are excellent, and door handles even have scratch-guard plastic cups in tact. Headliner is excellent, and the car features its original carpet throughout. Driver's seat vinyl has most wear.
Odometer reads 01,567 miles. It seems its short comings could be a result of sitting in the California sun, and not picked up on the road.
Car runs and drives, idles extremely smooth.
Car is in British Columbia- I am able to facilitate import process for a US buyer.
