This 1972 Datsun 240Z was professionally restored the expensive way to maintain the true "240Z" flavour, performance and style. Perfect for Street or Track. Freshly restored high performance 1972 Datsun 240Z. Car originated in Arizona and was a clean, all original car. Car and all new parts including body and paint have only 406 miles on them. Over $60,000 invested - including over $12,000 in parts and machining in the 280Z motor which is now a high compression, stroked, balanced 3.1 liter inline 6. 2.8 Liter "L-Series" Motor (bored and stroked to 3.1 liters) and brand new R200 with brand new Nismo LSD and 3.9 gears not even broken in yet - another 150 miles to go. Everything has been gone through on this car. Brand new billet aluminum adjustable rear control arms, completely rebuilt struts with Tokico 5-way adjustable cartridges, all new interior including OEM seats that have been beautifully custom upholstered in matching colours with embroidered "Z" logo in head area of seat. Full roll cage with roof, floor and custom door bars specially fit to permit operation of original inner door handles. Full instrumentaion including 5 additional AutoMeter matching guages including diff temperature, oil temperature and others. Interior has also been completely redone with brand new OEM Datsun door panels, black Berber carpet kit, "Z" embroidered floor mats, new headliner and modern new black upholstery. New upholstery on seats is beautiful blue micro-fiber cloth with exterior colour matching yellow accents. The blue colour is used throughout the car including engine, transmission, differential and a few other parts. Engine in Car:

New rods and high compression pistons with file-flat rings, polished crank, turbo oil pump, new water pump, head and block planed. All new turbo head bolts, all brand new rockers, new high performance springs, new lash pads, new high lift cam, new huge/ oversize/ undercut stainless steel valves. All new timing set. 5 speed 280ZX tranny. Rear disc brake conversion, front/ rear sway bar upgrades, functional front brake coolers. Front-end is a nice aftermarket fiberglass product with integrated bumper and spoiler. Headlights upgraded to Hello Halogen with fitted headlight covers. Rear bumper deleted and rear of car formed nice and smoothly with 2 removable "bumperettes". I have the original chrome rear bumper with "California Highway Bars" if Buyer wants that as well. Way to much to list. Car has only 416 miles on complete restoration (car has been driven conservatively during engine/ diff break-in period). No expense spared. Custom polished hardware throughout. BRE rear spoiler, custom exhaust, tuned port header, front/ rear strut bars, custom cold air intake matched up with Holley 4 barrel carb, bumpers deleted. Original numbers matching L24 race prepped complete engine as a spare race motor is also available at extra cost (over $9,000 spent on this motor). This would be great to have on display on an engine stand beside the car at car shows or to have as a spare race motor. I built this as a spare race engine for my 240Z (can also be used as a street/ daily driver engine)

Brand new 2.4 Liter inline 6 cyclinder, E31 high compression head, pro built and balanced by High Performance Engines.
Engine has all new parts: Nissan flat top high compression pistons, new connecting rods, balanced, 240mm flywheel with high performance clutch, E31 head with lots of head/ valve work, all new Nissan valvetrian (rocker arms, performance springs), cam is a Shadbolt 3/4 race cam 445. I spoke to Shadbolt and they gave me this info on the cam: 224 degrees at .050 280 degrees .340 inch cam lift with 1.5:1 ratio rockers = .510 inch gross lift, less cam space allowance huge oversize stainless undercut valves (1.780 inch intake, 1.450 inch exhaust), head and block planed Optional freshly overhauled dual downdraft Weber carbs with Canon manifolds and ceramic coated exhaust manifold. Custom chromed parts, brand new OEM Nissan flex plate (Plate between motor and transmission) custom paint sweet new polished stainless allen bolts Comes with or without starter, alternator. metallic blue valve cover/ gasket included with polished stainless steel allen bolts.
