Description
1967 Dodge A-100 Van with pop up camper top. This is not the typical Dodge fabric pop up top or the other half round aluminum top. This top is from an aftermarket company called Freeway Traveler. I found some literature online and it was a company from Elkhart, IN. You could choose your options for the top and then you would pick a local distributor in your area for the install. I would think this conversion was most likely done after the van was purchased. The top pushes up with handles from the inside. The top is still in good working condition, opens and closes easily. The sliding windows work. I've washed the van and did not have any leaks inside. This has the electrical and water ports on the driver side. I would think that this would have had a stove, sink and refrigerator at one time. Entire rear floor area is solid and rust free.
This van is ready to drive and enjoy. It's freeway driven. Oil changed a few weeks ago.
Compared to most of the vans that need heavy rust repair and mechanical work, you'll be ready for cruises and shows for next season.
Videos of the van running can be seen on YouTube:

1967 Dodge A100 driving - idling on driveway - radio working
67 Dodge A100 camper 318 idling
Clean California title in my name, currently registered, current tags and plates
318 engine (1970 block) 727 automatic transmission, 8 3/4 rear with 741 case
Engine block # is 2536060 318-70
Edelbrock 1405 600 cfm 4bbl carb sits on a later model cast iron 318 intake (4095080). Vintage Holley valve covers
Tires: 225/70/15 Tires are Big-O brand with very good tread, almost like new.
Van has good power, shifts well, steering is tight. All doors close properly.
Dual Flowmaster mufflers turn down just before the rear end
Seats are from another car, I don't know the model. They are bolted down but are still a little loose. They need to be bolted on one of the rear mounts. The seat belts are there.
- There is an aftermarket oil pressure gauge mounted thru the front of the doghouse.
Working:
Head lights, tail lights, turn signals, radio, wipers, horn (sometimes),
- No leaks at or around transmission. No leaks at rear center section.
- Missing: Cover for master cylinder, battery box top, key for doors.
- The temp gauge on the dash is not connected. There is an aftermarket temp sending unit w/ wire on the intake but it's not connected to any gauge.
Cons/needs work:
- Drum brakes work good but system may need to be bled and gone thru again to make perfect.
- Belly pan is missing. This is the pan mounted under the front of the van to help direct cooling to the radiator.
- Speedometer bounces but odometer works.
I filled it with 16.4 gallons of gas until it stopped. Fuel gauge registers 3/4 full.
Body/Rust/Dents
- The roof rails are perfect, no rot. Entire rear floor area is solid and rust free.
- Rear corner bumper area is dented as you can see, along with the rear are where the bumper would have been mounted.
- No frame damage from dent
- The entire front floor is solid with the exception of the edges of the driver and passenger foot area. -- The step area on the driver side has some small holes.
- The spot on the windshield A pillar is the worst of it all but it does not go all the way thru to the inside. I stripped this down with a disc so you can see it. .
- One small hole on top of the rear wheel tub.
- small rust bubble on driver and passenger door
