Check out this Restored, Very Clean, Very Vintage, and Very Cool, 1982 Dodge B300 Xplorer Class B Camper Van.
The Van itself is the 1 ton, 360 V8, Auto Trans, Good ole Crank Windows, Manual Locks, Not a lot of options, but it does have AC, Cruise Control, Tilt Wheel, Aftermarket Radio, Wipers and even a Cigar Lighter, today better known as a Power Port.
The Coach was built by Xporer and has a dropped floor so you can stand up in the kitchen area that includes a 2 way refrigerator, 2 burner propane stove, Sink with hot and cold water. Lots of drawers and cupboards and even a little extra counter as well.
It will sleep 3 total with the rear full double bed and the dinette that with some hard work and grunting will fold down into a small bed. There is a wet bath with a shower toilet and sink. The unit also has a furnace, new Roof Vent with Max Air type fan, water heater, full water system with fresh water tank 12v pump and holding tanks. It also has all new LED Lights thru out the interior.
A lot of interior restoration has gone into this unit. All of the Cool Vintage Green Stripe material is brand new that includes the front bucket seats, dinette cushions, door panels and interior panels. The rear Bed Mattress has been professionally recovered as well. The Dinette Table is new and looks beautiful. What was NOT redone is all of the wood faced drawers, cupboard and closet doors. They are complexity original from 1982 and are in Beautiful Condition! Overall it looks Amazing inside!
Outside is pretty original, and overall looks great. It looks like the bottom part has been repainted at one time and it matches well. The stripes are in great shape. It is a Very Solid unit with only a couple of minor bubbles of rust. Underneath is extremely clean as well. We had new Xplorer Badges CNC machined and they look factory, they just are not Plastic, so they should last longer than 39 years.
Mechanically it runs and drives Excellent! List of new parts include New 16" Rims and Load Range E Tires (replaced the hard to find 16.5")New front brakes including new Calipers, Rotors, Pads, Hoses, Both Front and Coach Batteries are new, New Radiator, full tune up, 4bbl Carb rebuilt, valve cover gaskets, Filters and fluids. I am sure I am missing some things but overall it is mechanically sound, and everything works as it should
