You are bidding on the most sought after color in Mopar Muscle history. FM3 Panther Pink. This BLUE CHIP investment grade car is the perfect project car if you've always wanted a Pink Mopar couldn't afford a done one. It is NOT a basket case or rust bucket like so many are nowadays. This car is complete with all of the hard to find, original parts. The fender tag (Original) is full of great options (see below).
THE BODY:
This car is very solid and undamaged. It shows some rust holes around the vinyl top moldings, and minor bubbles in front of the wheel openings on both quarters. The Trunk floor needs to be replaced and comes with a really nice used on. The rear of the quarters down low are really nice, as are the trunk floor extensions. All of the sheet metal is original except for the right fender. The entire bottom of the car is beautiful, only needing dipped and paint work. The main floors where your feet would sit have no paint on them but are very solid with no holes. Would need a skim coat over pitting areas.
Front and Rear Frame Rails, Front Aprons, Fire Wall, Upper and Lower Cowl, Main Floor, Left and Right Footwells, Under Seat Pan, Inner and Outer Wheel Houses, Roof Inner Structure, Hinge Pillars, Rockers and Roof Rails are perfect and will need nothing for repairs. I mention this because these are the areas that a lot of E body cars have rust damage. THIS IS A REALLY NICE BODY!
THE INTERIOR:
All of the interior is present, except for carpet. Comes with the original 4 speed console (not pictured). The instruments and woodgrain are in great condition. The seat belts are chewed up and will need replaced. All of the seat material will need replaced as will the headliner. Just remember, this is a PROJECT CAR, IT NEEDS TO BE RESTORED. Has original seats, door and quarter trim panels, etc.
THE DRIVETRAIN:
Original, numbers matching engine and 833 transmission. Also has the original shifter and linkage. The engine is bolted together for transport and pictures and it needs rebuilt. The rods and pistons are NOT bolted back in the block. EVERYTHING (unless noted below) is present and repairable or restorable for this engine. One cylinder will need a sleeve due to damage-see picture. The block has been magnafluxed and is without damage. The heads are the originals. The transmission has a cracked bearing retainer and will need replaced. The rear axle appears to be original and it is not a SURE GRIP. All of the original drivetrain pieces, including driveshaft are present and restorable.
THIS IS A GREAT CAR AND ABOUT AS RARE AS THEY COME. CHECK OUT THE FENDER TAG BREAKDOWN:
