Description
here's a faded original paint 1970 Dodge Challenger 383 R/T project car. Car needs full restoration and is missing many parts. Car was parted years ago in Arizona after a rear end accident. Has been mainly in covered storage since, next to no rust on this body. Totally rebuildable project car.
For a 1970 Challenger R/T, it came originally nicely optioned. here are highlights from fender tag:
383 4 bbl motor, automatic transmission
Plum crazy paint, black interior and black vinyl top.
Blackout on hood and black bumblebee stripe.
Air conditioning
Light package
Rally gauges
Six Way seat
Am/Fm radio (3 speaker dash)
Power steering (drum brakes)
Strong points:
Real R/T car with original paint and primer
Only rust holes found in windshield and rear glass channels and corners.
Door tag (excellent), cowl and radiator support numbers match original fender tag.
Original doors, windows haven't been rolled down in decades to preserve factory tinted glass (excellent)
Faded plum crazy paint on floors, just surface rust in usual areas.
Still has plum crazy paint overspray on front frame rails (ever seen that?)
Original front and rear suspension except missing rear end pumpkin and 70 steering column,
NO rust in rear quarters just damaged.
Rockers are near perfect original.
Bright plum crazy paint in door jambs.
Roof is strong.
Weak points:
Body accident in rear will need a frame pull for restoration.
Original dash assembly gone, no dash vin tag (you can now buy on eBay reproductions)
Missing many parts, engine, transmission, etc.
Other areas of damage noted: wrinkle in driver quarter, driver rear floor lifted slightly.
No 1970 style steering column included, a later years parts type column will be installed to steer.
No windshield or rear glass
Car still has the following parts:
Original A/C box in car.
Nice vinyl top trim never off car.
emergency brake assembly
slap stick shifter and interior linkage
pedals
This auction is for everything you see in the pics plus:
1970 rear seat cores
a non rally A/C dash assembly with many parts.
Now this project is great for someone with a rusted car and all the parts or if you just want this car for the remaining sheet metal, suspension, doors, etc. No motor or transmission included. All sheet metal needed for this car is available on eBay, AMD, etc. Tires on car may be changed.
Please ask questions before bidding.
Car is sold in "as is" condition with no warranties either expressed or implied. Buyer to pay a $500.00 deposit within 24 hours close of auction, balance due in 7 days whether picked up or not. No title to car, Buyer to receive a Colorado Bill of Sale. Car to be picked up within 30 days or arrange with seller for storage and related costs. Buyer responsible for all transportation costs.
