Description
Up for auction is an all original 1974 Dodge Challenger Rallye. This Challenger is a numbers matching JH23L4B car with a 360/727 automatic transmission. The partial VIN numbers on the radiator support, cowl, engine, and transmission, all match the VIN of the car. Besides the rust, the car was well taken care of and no signs of any major body damage or accidents. It was purchased from the original owner, making it only a 2-owner car. The car comes with a dealership form showing day of purchase and amount paid. It was purchased at Elmwood Dodge in Massachusetts in 1973. Pretty cool piece of history that comes with this car!
Original B5 blue, with a white vinyl top and blue interior, power steering, power disc brakes, Rallye package, center console, no AC, rear defogger, and 2881489 rear end. Odometer reads 76,393 miles. Comes with a clean California title in my name.
No build sheet was found. Not much left of the fender tag. Car is complete and untouched.
Car is rusty. Obvious areas that will need to be addressed from what I can see: front driver side frame rail, rear frame rails, driver inner fender, front fenders, hood, lower section on doors, rocker panels, rear quarters, deck lid, tail panel, rear inner fender wells, driver side floorboards, rear inner fender extensions, roof, and lower radiator support. Please refer to pictures for all the rust areas.
Engine starts right up and runs by jumping the starter. Video available upon request. Ignition switch will not start the car. The car steers, rolls, and shifts but brakes do not work. Shipping will need to be arranged on the buyer’s behalf. The transport service will need a winch to get car onto trailer.
Deposit of $500 will be due within 24 hrs of auction closing. Contact me for arrangements for deposit payment. Full payment due within7 days. After full payment is made, I can hold car for transport pick up or for being picked up in person. Sold as is and no returns. Car comes with no warranty. Please only bid if serious. Payment to be made via wire transfer or cash only.
This 74 Rallye is a cool piece of Mopar history. Highly suggest looking car over in person before bidding. Contact via email for any questions. Thanks for your interest.
