Description
1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440
A very nice, straight and solid, original R/T.
Paint & body: Straight and solid body panels, solid floors, trunk floor and subframes. Very nice paint. The paint is 12 years old with no bubbles or defects showing. Very nice vinyl top. All glass is nice.
Interior: Very nice interior. Excellent seats, dash, door panels, console, carpet and headliner. Fresh weatherstripping.
Trim: Excellent chrome bumpers (rear is new, front is original), all trim pieces, emblems, grille, lenses etc are all very nice.
Mechanical: Smooth and strong running 440. The engine is not matching numbers, it is a D 440 HP2, 1968 440 Magnum engine. Excellent oil pressure and normal operating temperature. Transmission, suspension, brakes, steering and exhaust are all in excellent condition. 3:55 Sure Grip rear end. Power steering, power disc brakes. Dual exhaust with Flowmasters. Everything on the car works except the horn, the radio and the emergency brake.
Restoration info: The car was restored 12 years ago, with limited miles on it since, and the car still appears as nice as when it was done. Engine, trans, brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust etc were all rebuilt. New parts include: Rear bumper, wheels, tires, flip up gas cap, hood blinkers, emblems, inside and outside door handles, seat covers, door panels, armrests with chrome, antenna and bezel, marker lights, front turn signal lenses, radiator, fan, battery tray, valve covers, carburetor, washer tank, all ignition parts, hoses and belts, exhaust system and tips.
Modifications: Day 2 look with Cragar SS wheels and air shocks. Mopar Performance valve covers, Edelbrock carburetor, Hooker Competition headers, hidden stereo, aluminum radiator, extra gauges under the dash.
