Description
I am relisting this item because the winning bidder claimed a financial problem and wouldn't be able to pay the winning bid of $36,800 for at least a month so here we go again.
Up for sale is an iconic 1970 Dodge Charger 500. Rare correct Rally Red exterior with black bumble bee stripe. Correct 383 Magnum 4 BBL engine mated to a rare 4 speed Hurst pistol grip shifter. New wide Crager wheels and BF Goodrich Radial TA tires (less that 1000 miles on each). Interior has been restored per the photos. No rust issues as can be seen by photos. Car came from Carolina and has the expired inspection sticker on the windshield. She starts right up and makes frequent 2 hour summer trips to the NJ shore. An absolute head turner, usually gets most of the crowd attention at any car show. All gauges work except clock. Hideaway headlights work perfectly. Vehicle does not have the 2 "500" emblems but, per the XP29 vin, it is a real Charger 500. I have the rear medallion in the glove box. The hideaway one can be bought online for about $40. All maintenance has been done by the famous New Vernon Coach and Motorworks in NJ since acquisition 12 years ago. I recommend inspection of the vehicle as the pictures do not do it justice.
Issues with car: AC does not work (not sure there are many that do), there is a small tear in the seam of the rear seat. Original radio has been replaced with an 80's tape deck stereo.
Car is started and driven 2 miles/month by a professional mechanic to make sure fresh. If you want an absolutely fantastic car, this is your car. Not concours 10 ($125,000) but a good solid 8. Car will probably double in the next 5 years but running out of garage space with 2 recent acquisitions.
Car is sold where is as is with no warranty implied or otherwise. No tire kickers or dreamers please.
