1966 Dodge Hemi Charger, Genuine "H" code426ci dual quad HEMI 4 speed car (1 of 250 produced), finished in its original yellow color with black interior, sold new at Visalia Dodge in Visalia, CA spending most of its life in CA. Extremely solid highly original car with a great body still wearing its original sheet metal and body numbers along with its original fender tag. Underside is original and in incredible condition! Believed to be the original engine it is correctly dated (they didn't stamp vins in 1966) so there is no way to be sure. Engine was rebuilt about 6,000 miles ago, original transmission, dana rearend,factory radio delete, bucket seats, console, blue streak tires, factory hubcaps with 3 bar spinners, low optioned car go fast car. Owner history back the the 1980's, original owners manual with selling dealer information, hemi tuning guide, and other factory literature. Extremely nice clean solid well kept car that runs and drives incredibly well! Hard car to find in this condition with all its originality.
1966 was the first year for the Charger and the first year for a 426 Hemi in a passenger car. The 1966 Charger also has a few neat options like front and rear consoles, fold down rear seats, incandescent dash lighting, hide away headlights and more.
I've owned several original Hemi cars over the years and can honestly say this is one of the better if not best running Hemi cars I've ever owned. I wold not hesitate to drive this car anywhere it is extremely well sorted out.
