1970 DODGE DART HEMI TRANSPLANT ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE AND SUPER BAD ASS CARS IN THE METRO DETROIT AREA IS UP FOR SALE. The current owner has had the car since the early 1990's and has done all of the work on it himself including installing what started life as a 426 Hemi now bored and stroked to an even larger 475 cubic inches. This car is worth the money. You cannot duplicate this build for what you can buy this for. Done Right and everything first class this is a retro drag/street car before it was cool to drive a track car on the street!
Here are all the details
Engine: 1966 Mopar 426 Hemi Bored .020. Align Bored and Honed. Indexed and Clearanced for a longer stroke Rod. Fitted with ARP Main and Head Studs.
Rotating assembly is Mopar Performance 4.150 Billet Crank 999 4340. Light weighted and Nitrided by Crower. Race hemi rods, resized and bushed, shot peened, polished and fitted with ARP 7/16 rod bolts.Arias 10.5:1 compression..Michigan 77 rod and main bearings..Fluid Dampner Harmonic all balanced by Boyd Machine.
Melling 63hv Oil Pump with mopar performance bronze gear intermediate shaft. Milodon 1/2 inch Hemi pick up. Milodon 7 quart low profile pan with Moroso pan studs.
Cylinder Heads: 1966 street Hemi castings. Milled .010 and port matched and polished. Bowls are matched as well.Manley severe duty valves. 225 intake and 194 exhaust. Bronze guides. Comp Cams roller springs and Manley Titanium retainers with 10 degree super locks.
Valvetrain: Ray Barton Racing Voodoo Solid roller camshaft .615 lift and 250 duration114 centerline. Crane 7/16 pushrods. Mopar performance 1.6 ratio rocker arms with hardened tips. Cloyes hex double adjustable timing chain and gears.
Exhaust: HPC coated hedman headers with 2 1/4 primaries, 4 inch collectors and Dynomax Pro race Mufflers.
Ignition: MSD 6 AL with MSD Multi step Retard. Jacobs HO coil. Mopar performance tach drive race distributor. 8 mm Moroso spiral wires.
Induction: HPC coated Edelbrock RAT ROASTER 2x4 intake with Dual edelbrock 750 cfm Carbs with Dual Holley Blue fuel pumps and inline fuel filters. Stainless Fuel lines.
Cooling: 22 inch 3 core radiator with Flexalite 17 stainless Fan. Mopar Performance aluminum water pump and housing with March underdrive pulleys.
Transmission: 727 Torque Flite with 4 gear planetaries, TCI reverse pattern manual valve body. Cheetah Command Center Shifter.
Rear Axle: Narrowed dana 60 with welded tubes and reinforced. Gear set is 4.56 Eaton Trac Loc. Moser 35 spline with green bearings. Morrison ladder bars with Alston Floaters and Mopar Performance Super Stock leaf springs. Bilstein adjustable race shocks. Drivetrain Specialist 3 inch aluminum driveshaft with Mark Williams billet yokes and Spicer 1350 U Joints.
Misc: Full 8 point welded in roll cage and frame connectors. Motor plate, Harwood 12 gallon fuel cell, Moroso Battery Box, master disconnect switch.Autometer gauges. Weld Wheels with 30 x 12.5 x15 ET Street Slicks.
Body & Interior: Never Restored or Wrecked this is an original with one respray on the body. The sheet metal is all original factory Mopar from 1970. The paint in the engine compartment, door jambs, trunk, and undercarriage is original from the factory in 1970. Gatorskin vinyl top is also original.
Factory original Upholstery, headliner, carpet. All factory gauges still work.
The car has 67200 original miles on it with 4000 miles on the Hemi transplant
