1966 Dodge Other Pickups

This is a very unique/rare old crew cab short bed dodge with 29,XXX original miles that I just hauled up to Northern IL from Arizona in July 2018. This truck spent its entire life in New Mexico and was actually owned by Los Alamos National laboratory (where the first atomic bomb was born). (I do not have proof of this but the previous owner was a stand up guy and was very honest about the truck with me, I'm sure there is a way to run the VIN to proove that they owned it).
The body:
The truck was used by Los Alamos as an observatory vehicle with a slide in truck bed camper on the laboratory property. Because of this, the bed is in excellent shape with just a very light surface rust on the bed floor that would clean right up if sandblasted or hit with a wire wheel. The truck is 99% rust free with the only spots needing rust repair being the rockers/door steps. There are also a few small spots on the outer door skins but these could easily be patched or the doors could be reskinned if desired as the door frames and bottoms are in excellent shape. The floors of both the cab and bed are in excellent shape also and still have plenty of the factory undercoating (seen in pictures peeling off).
The drivetrain:
The truck has the original 318 V8 and torqueflight automatic transmission. I purchased the truck mainly for the body and title to swap onto a late model 3/4 or 1 ton frame and build a retro diesel truck. I bought the truck near Albuquerque NM and hauled it to northern Illinois 3 days later, then drove back to Arizona where I am currently living and working. Because of this I did not have any time to tinker with it and get it running. The truck does not currently run and is missing the carburetor. That being said, the previous owner pulled the valve covers for me before I got there and the inside of the engine looks very clean. (intake manifold was covered during storage along with any other open ports etc). With such low mileage I see no issues at all getting it running with some minor work (slapping a carburetor back on it, fresh fuel, and batteries).
This is an all original crew cab short bed that has some neat options including FACTORY A/C. This truck will make someone very happy as they are getting extremely hard to find, especially in this condition. This truck would be awesome to do a retro build with a Cummins diesel engine swap and 4x4 conversion like I had planned (see attached picture of finished truck for an idea).Would also be neat to keep the original patina and make a "rat rod" truck out of it. Truck also comes with a spare driver door with the correct door handle configuration for the year and a very nice spare hood and original spare tire. As far as picking up the truck or shipping goes, the truck and title are currently located at my best friends property near Mchenry, IL. It would be ideal for the truck to be picked up there and funds/title exchanged there. I am open to other options and can work with a buyer that would like to have it shipped. I have never shipped a vehicle before so this would be the buyers resposibility to set up. That being said I will help as much as I can on my end.
