Description
1948 Dodge Power Wagon, first series B-1-PW, all original equipment, in running condition with 52,0000 original miles. This truck has been garaged for years, and has essentially no major body work to restore to original condition. The exterior paint is oxidized from the original red to a light red color. The interior is essentially pristine, with one tear in the leather seat on the driver's side. The truck has the original 230 cid gasoline engine which starts, runs, and idles fine. All dash gauges work. It has been garage kept with a battery maintainer in place. The entire drive train is all original with 2-speed transfer case, 4-speed transmission, Warn 4x4 hubs, and like new 8-ply heavy lug tires. The tailgate is a replacement, still in new condition, the bed is completely intact, but the wood is poor and will need to be replaced. The rear quarter panels had fire truck equipment mounted at one time, causing rust in that area. The truck has been started often, but not driven daily, and will need a tune-up, careful inspection of clutch and brakes, and all gear case and cooling fluids checked and brought up to appropriate levels before traveling.
This is an original piece of American made equipment that is not made any more - at any price. NO MAJOR RESTORATION OR KNOWN MODIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THIS VEHICLE OF ANY KIND. In nicely restored condition, a vehicle of this type can sell at auction for considerably more than the most expensive sports cars, and is becoming more rare by the day. Please call or email with any questions. I will certainly entertain any reasonable offers, however, at this asking price I suspect that it will not be here long, and I have no other vehicles for sale.
