DODGE: RAM 1500 ST

FOR SALE: 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD Regular Cab with 7.5' Western minute mount plow. I purchased the vehicle in July 2007 as the second owner with 70,000 miles on her and now she has 108,000 +/- miles. So I put on about 5,000 miles a year. I only use the plow on my driveway and a few friends' driveways, no commercial. When it does come to plowing, she is a breeze. Very manuverable. Fun truck to drive, excellent in snow, bedliner, sliding tinted rear window, trailer hitch and wiring.
THE GOOD: I had a body shop fix the rust on the doors and rocker panels. She's by no means perfect, but for a 15 year old pickup she looks pretty sharp. I also had a stainless steel Flowmaster muffler system installed as well as new brake lines and a new chrome bumper. No issues with the motor or transmission. I've always had this vehicle well maintained by a local mechanic here in Colchester. A/C runs fine. Tires have plenty of life left.
THE BAD: Chrysler stopped producing Evap canisters a while back. The check engine light is on and she will not pass emissions. The DMV's solution was to have me install a Evap canister from a junkyard. Not surprisingly, replacing a 15 year old part with another used 15 year old part didn't fix the problem. There are low income waivers for emissions and a waiver if you spend $868 on repairs, but there's no way to spend $868 on parts that no longer exist.
Since I couldn't renew my CT tags, I registered and titled her in NC. At least I can drive her until she sells or I can drive her to NC if she doesn't.
