Description
You are bidding on a rust free 1992 Dodge D-250 diesel pickup. This truck is equipped with a 12 valve 5.9 Cummins engine and a 4 speed automatic transmission. The engine runs flawlessly and has never been modified. The injection pump was new when I bought the truck 5 years ago and it still has the tamper covers on it. There is no excessive blowby or oil consumption. The front seal and valve cover gaskets leak around 2 quarts every 4k miles. The transmission shifts good and doesn't leak or make noise. The tps needs to be adjusted. You have to ease off the throttle to go into overdrive but it has done that since I bought the truck. The differential has 3.54 gears and is tight and quiet. Tires are around 30-40%. The body is a little rough around the edges but is complete. The paint is faded, but the drivers door and fender have been repainted sometime in the past. Windshield has some cracks and stars but passed Texas inspection. The bed has a small hole in one corner, driver side rear wheel well has damage from a blowout, minor damage to the lower part of the front passenger fender and the driver's door had the hinge ripped out at some point and patched back together. The door closes as it should so I left it at that. The interior is complete minus some trim and the headliner. The headliner was falling apart but will go with the truck if you want it. The A/C blows cold and heater works well. I installed a new blower motor last summer. The driver side of the bench seat falls off its hinge if you tilt it forward but passenger side works as it should. The cruise control doesn't work and the odometer stopped as well. I've driven around 10-15k miles since it stopped so truck has around 230k on it. The front suspension springs and bushings are worn out but it still drives straight and doesn't wear tires too bad. The truck does have a lean to it which I think has to do the the front end. The frame isn't bent or cracked that I can find, I think the front suspension needs to be rebuilt. It will need new rotors which I will include in the sale. I drive this truck regularly and it is very dependable. Selling due to having to many vehicles.
