CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL TRUCK:
For sale is a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 Quad Cab Cummins Turbo Diesel Truck. This is one of the nicer Dually Dodge 3500 trucks that you will find!
Truck is in good shape, no body damage, just normal minor paint imperfections you'd expect. I have had people comment to me that the truck is in very nice condition for a 2001. With only 132k miles, that is approx. 9k per year--well below average mileage, especially for these Dodge 3500 trucks that usually have several hundred thousand miles on them (and still keep running). The two batteries are fairly new, and strong--truck starts immediately on first turn of key.
REASON FOR SALE
I purchased this truck with the intention of starting a small auto transport business (this truck is perfect for that, and why I chose it). However, I now have an ill parent with Alzheimer's who's situation prevents me from getting this off the ground, as I really need to stay local now. Thus the truck has seen limited usage since I bought it, as I do have a car which I use for local driving. I do plan on pursuing the transport business idea again one day, but realistically that would be at least a year away now, at best.
I am instead needing to buy a clean used 4 door car such as a Nissan Sentra etc, to use for Uber. I considered keeping this truck even though it's not needed now, because it is such a rare find with that mileage. But it appears likely I will be relocating back out west later this year, and it'd be another vehicle I'd need to ship. So with all things considered, it makes much more sense to offer the truck to someone who can benefit from it, rather than have it just sitting around undriven. The health situation with my parent and thus the forced change of plans/lack of need is the only reason why I am selling this nice truck.

The truck appears to have never been abused, and was NOT used for commercial hauling. There is a full rear towing setup on the truck, but no hitch in the bed, as is often the case when these trucks have been used commercially. (You can easily add one yourself if desired).
It has all books & three full sets of keys & fobs (one of which looks to be never used). The vehicle has only 132,105 miles, & it's not just a cliche to say that it is a Cummins & that it will be good for many more! They are known for their towing power, fuel economy--and longevity. At this low mileage, from what I have been told about these Cummins engines, its barely broken in!
The truck is very smooth idling, no erratic idle whatsoever! Starts right up immediately. When you look under the hood of this truck & see the very clean condition, and have the engine running, it both looks & sounds great.
The prior owners had used this truck to drive once a month or so, in season, to the Ft. Lauderdale FL area for racing, from just south of Orlando FL. The owner would occasionally transport one small Mazda race car on a bumper pull single car trailer (not even remotely close to what can be towed with this Cummins!) For anyone not familiar, this is a straight, non-stop drive on the FL Turnpike of about 175 miles. Thus the mileage on this truck is primarily freeway mileage, and that limited usage is also consistent with why there are the very low miles on this 2001! They did add a nice adjustable air suspension, and all trailer wiring connections.

Unfortunately, I am not extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the mechanical aspect of vehicles--and I am definitely new to owning one of these Cummins trucks. So, I cannot give more specifics on things such as regarding the air suspension, etc. Everything on the truck was installed or already there when I bought it. So if asking questions of a technical nature, please keep this in mind. However I will do my best to answer if there are any inquiries.

CONDITION OF VEHICLE
*EXTERIOR
The exterior is in very good condition for it's year! As with any used truck, there are some minor imperfections on the truck if inspected in detail, nothing out of the ordinary, and overall less than one would expect to find on a 2001. Nothing that is really noticeable unless looking up close. The overall condition reflects the fact that this truck is a low mileage vehicle that has been cared for and not neglected.
The metal rear bumper shines, but does have some dings/imperfections fairly common to find on a used truck, but nothing that detracts from the overall nice condition of the truck.
*UNDER THE HOOD
The condition under the hood is nice and very clean. See photos!
*INTERIOR
The interior of this truck is in nice condition for its year!
Condition-wise, it definitely does not look like the interior of a 2001, and reflects the low mileage on this truck. The dash, steering wheel, console, and headliner are all in good shape! And the rear area is very nice as well, appears to not have seen much use. It would be tough to find many 2001 Cummins 3500's that are as nice! There is one hole on the drivers side seat, & a small vent cover on the far right side of the dash is missing. That's really all to mention. Otherwise very nice & clean inside!
AND, UNLIKE MANY DODGE 3500's, THE DASH ON THIS ONE IS NOT CRACKED OR DAMAGED FROM THE SUN!!
*TIRES & WHEELS
Tires are overall in good shape. Some have a bit more tread left than others, but all are definitely ok for now.
The wheels are in GREAT condition and really shine!!
They definitely add a lot to the overall sharp look and appearance of this truck!!!

It is very clean and in nice condition underneath the truck! I have a couple of photos showing this.

THESE ARE THINGS I FELT SHOULD BE POINTED OUT:
1)There is a hole on the drivers side seat, that is the only real imperfection on any of the seats--front or back. (passenger seat and rear are perfect).
2)The driver side power seat control is not working.
3)The overhead display is not illuminating. As with the power seat control, this may be a fix for someone who is electrically knowledgeable.
4)There is a very small vent cover missing on the passenger side of the dash.
These are the only things I have noticed since I have owned the truck.
