Description

For sale: very nice dodge Shelby csx circa 1987. This one has spent the majority of it's life in storage. last registered in 1999. The vehicle was owned by an old gentleman who moved out of state, and placed the car in storage for 10+ years. When he retired, he took the car out of storage but right after his brother blew the motor. The motor was rebuilt a couple of years ago, but never really driven. The old guy had surgery that left him with no use of his right arm, so he couldn't drive it, then recently brought it to us to work out some bugs from the car sitting so long. We updated the pcm, replaced fuel pump and lines, replaced vacuum lines and replaced worn s60 cam with an 89 roller cam and a couple other odds and ends.
The car has 110K original miles. The paint is original, still shiny and decent, although does have some minor scratches etc for a car that is nearly 30 years old. The car has the infamous s60 package and was changed from a 5 speed to auto with high stall converter. Can be changed back over as the pedal assembly is still there, and we do have the original block and a520 trans, if the new owner wants them. Unknown condition, been in storage for years!
Car runs and drives good, I put about 150 miles recently with a couple of 30+ mile trips with no issues. But since the tags are out, and the car is 30 years old, I would recommend trailer or transport of the vehicle if going across country.
Good:
s60 turbonetics turbo, ported s60 head, s60 intercooler, 3 bar map sensor, +40 injectors, 3 inch downpipe, into a 2.5 inch catback exhaust. Aftermarket fuel rail and adjustable fuel pressure regulator, crane ignition module, built a413 auto with high stall convertor. Underdrive pulley, HKS blow off valve, ported 2 piece intake manifold and FWD stage 5 ecu
NO RUST!! Texas car! Has koni adjustable shocks and struts, Mopar Performance gauges on custom gauge bar so no cutting on original dash and could be easily removed. All Shelby items are intact and in good condition including dash plaque, steering wheel, under hood build tags etc..
Interior has been changed, but is in very nice condition, and the conversion to auto was very well done, and looks factory. Tires are older, but show no sign of rot and have LOTS of tread. New gas tank and pump installed recently. NEW battery as well. Starts just fine, runs fine, no noise or smoke. Hatch lifters are weak, need replacing. Window/door weather stripping in good condition, not dry, brittle or cracked which is rare!! But that's because the car was stored in a climate controlled storage facility for years not out in the hot Texas sun. Not a perfect car, but a great survivor, that looks great, runs well, ready to enjoy! A/C is there and works as well!!! The front grill has a small piece missing, that's the only bad thing that might need to be replaced.
