for auction is a 1995 Dodge Viper finished in red over a tan leather interior. The first generation of the Viper was Carrol Shelby's successor to the legendary Shelby Cobra and is truly one of the most visceral, powerful and attention-grabbing cars on the road even today almost 30 years after its debut. The 1995 model year was the final year of the 1st generation of the Viper and features the side-mounted exhaust pipes which were no longer available after the 1995 model year. The V10 8.0L engine is mated to a manual 6-speed transmission that drives, accelerates and shifts like-newand nothing compares to the exhaust rumble from the V10 engine.
This Viper has undergone over $25K in service and upgrades during my 6 years of ownership and is now being offered for auction out of North Carolina showing 39K miles on the odometer. This Dodge Viper has been meticulously maintained and updated in several key areas including:
- Aluminum radiator and larger engine fan to keep the engine running cool in any weather or driving situation
- Upgraded door-pop keyfob (see video on the dropbox link above) to provide ease of opening doors especially when the windows are installed
- HID headlights for drastically improved visibility
- Double-DIN Kenwood stereo with improved speakers and amp.Includes navigation, CD player and Satellite Radio-ready
- Steering Wheel mounted wireless control for stereo
- Two tops included with the car:hard top (pictured) with rolling storage stand and soft top that rolls up and stows in trunk. This is a new soft top
- Tonneau cover for covering the interior of the car when parking
- Side windows show no yellowing and function as designed.Stow in trunk when not in use
- Remote lock/unlock/trunk pop with included keychain remote
- HVAC controls relocated to inside the glove box to allow for the double-din stereo unit
- Cupholder integrated into the center console
- Rearview camera and nose camera installed to make for safer parking and driving in reverse / backing up.
AC blows strong cold air. Heat works great for those cold days. Car starts up with no issues and drives like-newsee videos in the above dropbox link.
ABOUT THE TITLE:This car has a clean NC title. The car was reported stolen in 1996 in the state of NJ and was then later recovered without damage and then sold to a Virginia resident. The car was then titled in the state of VA as a "salvage" title car due to the theft report. This salvage title reflects the theft report and does NOT reflect any damage on the part of the car.In conjunction with the salvage title the VA DMV issued an odometer warning to the title; again this reflects the theft report and does not reflect any issue with the odometer reading. These issues followed the car into Maryland.THERE ARE NO LONGER ANY REFLECTIONS OR INDICATIONS OF SALVAGE OR ODOMETER ISSUES ON THE TITLE.I titled the car in the state of NC in 2017 and have renewed the registration each successive year with no issue. All of the above is visible in the recent carfax that can be viewed via the dropbox link above.
