Description

A Solid Driver Quality Canadian 58 Edsel Ranger that is nearly Rust Free . Last licenced in 1987 and came from an estate . Base model with the only options I can see being the Speed Warning Light , Teletouch and Seat Belts . Rebuilt Engine that has 1980's Ford Factory Rebuild decal on left Valve Cover . Runs well and Transmission shifts fine . It needs small things to make it roadworthy such as Master Cylinder replaced , Bakes Checked although they work well ,Vacuum Wipers fixed , Trunk Lid Spring replaced (missing) , Backseat Windows Lubricated so they operate properly .
NEW Fuel Tank, Interstate Battery and Ford Carburator rebuilt . Gas Gauge works , Teletouch Drive buttons work Fine and so does Parking Brake .
Runs Great and will have new tune up Jan 2 . Radiator looks rebuilt and generator charges well . YOU CAN DRIVE it home if you want .
The rear Differential Leaks a bit , probably the pinion seal and the auto trans leaks just enough out the pan gasket to be annoying .
This car is so solid the battery tray is in good condition . I had it up on a hoist and the Trunk area and rear quarters seem rust free except the rear truck cross beam in front of rear bumper has a little rust . The tire well is mint except for dent done by me . Sorry . Floors mint condition with surface rust . Front fenders have a few bubbles around and under headlights and on the bottoms , see last pic . A little blistering near rear licence plate as shown in pics . Rocker Panels have been replaced in an amateur fashion probably when paint was done in the 80's . They look OK with a little rust in the left . A good original car that probably spent its life in Southern BC or the Canadian Prairies .
Interior is dirty but will clean up OK . Drivers seat has sagging springs . Headliner stained as in pics . Dash pad warped as in pics . You can restore interior a little or a lot , according to your tastes .
Has older BF Goodrich wide whites with no checking and 90% tread or better .
Decodes Model 963A , Trim BAB , Paint 1E6 Vin 963AK58-100782 Oakville Ontario Canada
Mileage is probably 110,069 Miles by the looks of the car .
Title is clear .
A Great Car to fix up this winter and drive in the summer . An easy project to enjoy .
I will get truck interior pics , it was not wanting to open today but is normally does , all original keys and spares . The original ignition switch is in the glove box and someone put a universal one in for some reason . Don't know why .
Needs a dimmer switch which I may have time to replace , one screw is stuck tight . All lights work when it is by passed .
Spare bits in trunk include Grill , chrome of all sorts , complete heater unit , Radio , Master Cylinder (used) and lots of misc things .
Jack and good spare also in trunk . Trunk has rubber liner and is solid everywhere .
Overall it is a great old car to drive now and restore in the future that is as rust free as they get in Canada .
