The keystone to the Ferrari tradition, and the root of its reputation, are the brands 12 cylinder touring cars; the v12 Berlinettas.  Ferrari v12 berlinetta cars date back to the 250 GT, and have been present in the brands lineup for all but a few years. In 1996 Luca di Montezemolo’s desire for a new generation of front engine V12 Berlinettas with two seats lead to the birth of the 550 Maranello. Refined in it’s design, unmatched for-its-time performance, Pininfarina styling and an F1 inspired 478 HP V-12 engine mated to a 6-speed manual, gated transaxle. The all new 550 Maranello was a force to be reckoned with, and still holds its own on both the racetrack and the concourse lawn.  
With introductions out of the way, we’d like to offer for your consideration, what we think is one of the best examples of the 550 Maranello we’ve ever seen. A west coast car for most of its life and sourced from a great court of ours, this 550 is finished in classic Ferrari Rosso Corsa red over the elusive carbon racing seats wrapped in Black and Tan leather. This is as complete an example as you’re likely to find; leather bags and folders, manuals, keys and red books are all there, the paint metered perfectly, and with the annual service and new tires done in 2020 and the 7 year major service done in the last two years, this is a 550 you won’t feel bad putting miles on, (while it appreciates in value, if history is any indication on how well the 12 cylinder Ferrari's hold their value.)
