Description
For sale is a 1975 Fiat 124 CC Coupe 5 speed. These are rather difficult to find and this particular model has had an extensive amount of extra bodywork done to give it a slightly flared appearance. The car was restored from 2007-2011 by a previous owner who bought and restored the car in California. Subsequent owners kept it in a large Italian car collection from 2013-2016. I bought the car from someone living in Pennsylvania in 2017 and have kept it garaged myself ever since; though I do drive it at least once a week to keep everything running smoothly.
During the restoration, the car was stripped of trim, the exterior was fitted with custom fiberglass cladding and repainted in a three-stage gunmetal metallic. The paint and bodywork are indicative of an amateur-level refresh and I've tried to point this out bodywork and finish flaws in the photos below. Cracked filler is evident at a cowl seam, and bubbling is photographed around the front and rear windshields. Factory side markers were shaved before paint, and no rear bumper is present.
Dished Panasport-style wheels are mounted with billet spacers, and stretched 15″ Hankook Ventus rubber is new in the rear. New side view mirrors were fitted, while all bright trim was cleaned and polished aside from the blacked-out grille. Lighting is comprised of working Hella low and high beams. Two small pits are pointed out in the windshield, and neither vent window is currently operable
The Car starts every time and runs very well. I've never had any major issues with the car and have found it to be very reliable the whole time I've owned it. I have had it worked on a few times at Aspen Import Auto here in Denver and a detailed description/previous work receipts can be shown to serious buyers for reference of work done.
The car IS NOT a numbers matching car though the 1800cc engine runs very well. The vents work but the heater does not, thus the car has no defroster. Radio works but sound quality through the speakers is not the best. Please note a few of the pictures are from the previous owner; the car currently has black side view mirrors - not silver.
