Description
We are selling our much loved family car as we need to move onto something bigger!
My partner has owned this car from new and therefore it does not have any previous owners. She starts and drives beautifully, no nasty noises from the engine and is generally a lovely car to drive. Whenever the odd part has been on its way out it has been replaced rather than letting her breakdown.
This car has never let us down - we will be sad to see her go. She flew through her last MOT with no advisories. Her next MOT is due at the very end of September and we've no reservations that she would fly straight through again.
As with all cars that are getting on a bit, she has a few scuffs and the odd scratch here and there - these are mostly from shopping trolleys and other cars as my partner used to work in a supermarket. The most affected area is the lip beneath the boot from prams/shopping/kids bikes etc. I have shown these marks in the pictures as clearly as I can (though please look carefully as the car was very shiny when we took the photos and a lot of what you can see is reflection from things around us!!!) The interior is generally looking well, the only thing to mention is the front driver's side carpet is quite badly scuffed (pictured) though this covers with the car mat.
A list of good and bad points below:
Good:
New starter motor, New battery, New both front coil springs, new front wheel bearing (all these we've had on in last 6 months) Recent oil change, lovely to drive, cheap to tax and insure, reliable - ideal 1st car.
Bad:
Cracked glass in passenger wing mirror (still legal) scuffs and scratches mentioned/pictured above.
The only other thing worth mentioning as I do like to be completely honest is the tyre noise on newly resurfaced roads. We paid to have a new front passenger wheel bearing on the car as we were convinced it was making a noise. After having this replaced it was still making this whirring noise and the mechanic came out in the car with us to diagnose. He said we had wasted our money as it was purely just tyre noise from all of the newly resurfaced roads around us! When you do drive on older rougher roads you can't hear it so we're certain he's spot on, he's never let us down yet!
