Description
probably last chance to have a unique in the US Cream Pies for any small car collection.
the weaker euro will be your chance for a good buy:
Up for the sales here stands an, also in Europe, absolute rarity!
A 1939 build Fiat 508 C and also as a pick up truck.
This small cream little piece steels every big truck the show. As I haven’t heard about another one, think you will not find another little pick up like this !
The vehicle comes from a spanish collection, for years was dry and stood safe. An older restoration has taken place according to the widow of the previous owner. I found this little piece, as a friend of mine told, me the collection is for sale.
The condition of this small piece of jewellery is accordingly good.
Colour green, with black fenders,
2 single seats, black imitation leather (a smal rip in co driver seat)
Engine 4 cylinder, 4 stroke, 1.100 cc, 34 HP
4-speed transmission, floorshifter
Even then with 4 hydraulic drum brakes.
12 V of electrical system
Tyres as good as new Michelin 15 " 155 / R 400 radial (incl. spare tyre)
Car Dimension: 3,75 x 1,48 x 1,50 meter, weight 750 kg blank, 1,150 kg Basic Law.
After I bought the car I did the following things;
the truck bed is made by new wood and oiled also now (see pic 22)
the brakes were completely overtaken (drums drilled, shoes recovered, new master- and wheelcylinder) because of the longtime standing still (see pic 20),
- as the facilyty, who did this brake-job told me, the Fiat had the first and original brake shoes before.
also the electric-system was tested, some lines replaced
- the original mechanical direction indicator (we call this "Winker" in Germany) are still installed !
cylinder head is planed and valves grounded new (in case of long standing still - see pic 21)
carburator overhauled
all fluids changed,
etc. etc. etc.
A data sheet for the H licensing was provided.
Car starts, runs, shifts and brakes good - makes lot's of fun driving and sounds amazing for such a small motor !
A cream little piece in every collection - eyecatcher in every showroom - thumbs high and applause of the spectators on every exit.
Ideally, hence, also for advertising purposes, photo appointments, etc.
Some more I find out about the history:
A Swiss collector and Topolino-part trader (I contacted because of the situation to the spare part procurement) confirmed to me, that Fiat delivered vehicles to special rebuilding companies. This pick up was built in small series but probably from "Viotti" on behalf of Fiat. There were also platforms for Fiat, on the brief military chassis.
Today our ice-cream parlour has opened and I asked the Italian owner (member in an Italian vintage car club) about Fiat and he confirmed the information and knew a 500th a carpenter earlier had.
He knows only about a handful of preserved 500th copies panel trucks, firmly in well-chosen collector's hand. Never seen a pick up again, he called the condition of my green pickup truck unusual.
However, primarily panel trucks were also built some pickup truck for small craftsmen and traders.
The base was primarily the little one 500cc Topolino, but also – by far less - some "bigger" in 1100 cc.
Already during the 2nd world war most cars were worn-out of it and destroyed. I found out in history, Fiat build some military vehicles also, but on short wheel base
I hope, this news helpfully
A not refundable deposit of $ 2.000.- is to be made within 2 days by PayPal, rest within 2 weeks by bank credit transfer. That’s a private auction without any warranty.
Car comes with a "bill of sale" and a certificate, stamped by a spanish notary.
I sell this car, because I enjoy more the US vintage cars like Edsel & Studebaker -
so take your chance to give this nice toy a new, good home !
But remember, it's a real rare small and nice car and not to give away ! So do not embarrass this rare car with any cheap offer or ask for the reserve.
Trade to an interesting US car will be possible, make an offer
I can help in arrange with of the safe transport, because I have good contacts for sea cargo as normal I buy sometimes nice old cars in the USA and ship them to Germany.
In case of any seriose questions please feel free to contact me, also a lot of more pictures are available.
private auction, without any warranty, etc. (remember, it's an old car)
Since the question of transport costs D - US turns up here a couple of examples for information:
The costs to the various ports in the United States by 20' containers:

-Transportation By open truck to Bremerhaven (ready to drive cars) = 375 €
-Containerrundlauf And loading in Bremerhaven = 350 €
