Ford Capri 2.8I
Full service history, just over 100k miles very low for a 31 year old car.
Absolutely stacks of receipts most of which from Ford dealers.
House move forces sale, MOT expired 01/10/2015 - last MOT was at 99k miles, passed with no advisories, and has covered just 2k miles since so should sail through next one. I would get a ticket for it but limited funds prevents me from insuring and taxing etc.
Car is in overall great condition with lots of new parts including brake lines and cylinders, wheel bearings front and back, drive shaft centre bearing, track control arms, diff cover, various gaskets, fuel pump and filter, just to name a few!
I have had fitted a genuine Thatcham category 2 immobiliser with a lifetime replacement of any lost key fobs. There are 2 fobs and on the dash is a flashing red LED which alone will deter thieves. There is a certificate of installation which when presented to the insurance company will reduce the premiums. (Brought my insurance down from £2500 to £1200)
The car starts first time, every time and is currently stored in a garage. The paintwork is not perfect it is showing a few marks but as you can see comes up really well and looks amazing when the sun is shining on it. The interior is in good condition and the seats are pretty much good as new.
Bad Bits:
Temp gauge is intermittent due to some loose connections behind cluster (I will try and fix this if I get the time this week).
Not the original cassette player and the one in the car is a bit tatty. I personally never have the radio on while driving in this car for obvious reasons lol.
Few blemishes in paintwork here and there.
I got a parcel shelf from Capri Club but it still needs hanging
The car is not a nut and bolt restoration but it is a very good example of a well known classic. Attracts lots of attention and is a conversation starter with total strangers as you pull up at Tesco lol always hear the phrase "This brings back memories".
