Description
1950 Ford Convertible Street Rod, late model front end, fresh 302 withaluminum heads, 4AOD trans, 4 wheel discs, Air Bag Front Suspension, Airbag on leafs rear suspension, Dolfin Gauges, Fresh build that sataround, some loose ends. Runs and drives nice, freeway speeds noproblem.
Original frame with Speedway engineering front sub frame, leafspring rear, air bags all around.
Loose ends are Seat belts don't pull out freely, angle ofmounting is the issue I think, power windows slow and don't go up anddown freely, angle of regulator not same as angle of channels, windowseals, rear glass is still original manual type and seem to seal well, trunk latch needs to be refit properly, street rod type latch notmounted very well, wipers not working slips at wheel box's, topmechanism needs to be adjusted to get "B" pillar area sag out, rearsuspension to stiff, needs leafs removed from spring pack.
Some filler in body, mostly at rear wheel area. All wiring is new, "Its a Snap" wiring kit was used. Frame very good.
Street Rod Engineering Front end, have receipt, with Tubular a arms and new spindles. Disc brakes all around.
Power top works.Fresh Ford 302 with new aluminum fast burn heads, AOD trans, 9" Fordrear end narrowed to 54", 2.70 geared, this gear makes it lazy on accelbut gets close to 20 mpg, needs a 3.70 gear.
No door poppers, has early bear claw latches with electric solenoids, outside switches on bottom of mirrors.
No AC but has heat and the defrost ducts work.
Floors all good, I can see from underneath that some sections have been repaired but look all solid, no holes.
Power rack, new alternator. Power seats work.
I think it sat for about 3 years. I have a binder full of receiptsand notes on the build.
No heat issues, I had it at theWoodward dream cruise this year and it was 95 degrees with no problems, Idrive it on the expressway and it will cruise at 80 all day long, stopsstraight, lights and signals all work.
