BEFORE YOU SAY, "I'D BUY IT BUT" or " ITS JUST WANT I WANT EXCEPT" or " OR GEEZ I WISH IT HAD THAT". TAKE A PICTURE OF THIS CAR TO YOUR LOCAL RESTORATION SHOP. ALSO TAKE A SHELL OF A 41 SITTING IN THE WEEDS. ASK THEM WHAT IT WOULD COST (NOT INCLUDING REBUILDING THE ENGINE, TRANS, BRAKES, STEERING, UPHOLSTERY, ETC ) TO DO THE BODY WORK AND PAINT IT. TELL THEM YOU WANT IT JUST AS NICE AS MINE. AFTER THEY SAY $20,000 TO $30,000, CONSIDER I'M ONLY ASKING $19,500 FOR MY RUNNING AND DRIVING CAR. EVEN IF MY CAR ISN'T EXACTLY WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR, YOU CAN BUY MINE AND CHANGE ANYTHING YOU DON'T LIKE FOR MUCH LESS THAN RESTORING A DIFFERENT 41.
Up for sale is my 1941 Ford Coupe, flathead with 3 speed. Super nice car and priced very reasonable.
There is a old saying in the car world that says "you don't paint a car gloss black unless the body is super nice to begin with or your willing to commit hours upon hours upon hours to make it super nice". Well as you can see its painted gloss black. As you can also see it sparkles, not just a little, but alot. Now just because nice black shows everything, and I do like to drive my cars, for the super picky out there I'll say to expect a flaw here or there. The trim, grill, door handles, etc are believed to be original and simply because they are 80 years old aren't perfect, but look very nice. Just to be unique the bumpers are painted with a silver paint/powdercoat (not a aerosol can spray job). The bumpers not being chrome give it a unique look that I really like, but easily chromeable if you'd rather have chrome.
Mostly this is just driven around town, but every now and then a bunch of us will cruise to some little town for lunch or go to a rod run 100 miles away. Just because modern seats tend to be more comfortable then a stock seat, it has buckets. As you can see they are upholstered in black/white and look very nice. The whole interior has a 50's feel to it. I'm not super familar with all the models ford had, but I believe this is or was a version of a business coupe. The back has a shelf type seat, that a person could certainly sit in or you could use it for storage.
As far as running gear, in my book nothing beats a good running flathead. So under the hood is a 8ba, runs great, this is one of those good ones that doesn't overheat, fires up all the time even if it hasn't been driven for awhile, etc. Basically does everything it should and nothing it shouldn't. The transmission, rearend, steering, brakes, etc are all stock
The trunk has nice carpeting and is huge. Perfect for swap meet finds or luggage.
I really don't want to sell it, but I'm loosing some storage. You'd spend well over 50 grand to duplicate this car, my buy it now is a bargain !
I expect to be paid in full with 48 hours after the auction ends. I will only accept cash when you pick it up or a bank wire transfer.
I deal with trucking companies daily for work. So if you need help with transportation just ask.
