Description

2003 Ford Courier XL PG Super Cab, 2.5 intercooled Turbo Diesel, 4X4, 5 speed manual.
Unfortunately this great vehicle has just been written off due to hail damage.(repairable write off). Being hail damaged, the Vehicle can be re-registered. See NSW write off legislation link.face="Arial" size="2">Car has been fitted with a $4000 gas injection system in 2011 (see receipt) . It doesn't run on gas, just injected. Can be turned on or off inside cab. Extra power and fuel economy.
Brand new windscreen fitted only 2 weeks ago due to the hail smashing it. Heavy Duty Towbar, Bullbar, side steps, tinted windows, 110Lt long range fuel tank, Super Rally driving lights (1 slightly damaged from the hail, but still works fine), steel tray with very thick floor and drop sides. Superb sound factory stereo, Dobinson 4X4 shocks all round, Ute sits on the road nicely with very little body roll.
Turbo Diesel motor is in great condition. Does not blow black smoke or get hot. It purrs like a kitten. The gearbox had been rebuilt approx. 18 months ago, but has now started to crunch a bit going from 4th gear to 3rd, other than that, everything changes nicely. Diff is solid, no whines. Interior is in really good condition. Air con is cold.
My son is a Diesel mechanic, so the Ute has religiously been serviced every 5-8000 Kms. Engine oil, transfer case, diff etc. Brakes are good, power steering is good.
The worst of the hail damage is the roof and bonnet. The front guards only have the dings on the top mainly. The doors are hardly noticeable. Front left headlight lense is smashed but works, driver side mirror is also cracked. Just replace the bonnet and repair the roof and it would be good to go.
This ute has had a fortune spent on it over the last 5 years. Heaps of receipts with work done to the motor and suspension.
There is a very slight window of opportunity to take the vehicle for a drive before it gets officially written off next week. The only reason it is still registered after being written off, is that I have disputed the amount the Ute was insured for. But this has now been finalised.
If the car sells, it will be available as soon as the all the insurance details are finalised. I will supply a copy of the written off details to the buyer. Ute was assessed by AAMI.
So either use the ute as a donor, part out or repair the hail damage and get it re-registered.
If you would like any more photos, send me your email and I will send you more.
Car is to be picked up from Bungendore, which is located just outside of Canberra,
Thanks for looking
