What you see here for sale is a VERY RARE FIND an Original Unrestored 99.9% Rust Free 1959 Ford Edsel Ranger (The 59 Edsel is basically a 59 Fairlane with different front sheet metal and badging )- Factory 292 Cubic Inch (4.8 litre) V8 Y Block Motor, with Mile-a-matic Two Stage Automatic Transmission - Ford 9" Diff and very Rare for this model Power Steering
NOTE Selling with Original Wheels and Tyres - it is shown in the photos with a Set ofBrand New Set of Genuine American Racing Torque Thrust Original 15" x 7"Alloy Mag Wheels and a Brand New B/F Goodrich 245/60/15 Tyres sorry it doesnt come with these - but ifyou want with the with these wheels instead of the original wheels - add $1000to the sale price !!!!!
I brought this car in Phoenix Arizona and it has a very Low Humidy Hot Dry Climate - - I brought it from the 2nd owner who had brought it from the original owner about 8 years ago - the car had been parked in a garage for about 20 Years before he got it
I put in a new set of points and a Fuel Pump, bleed the brakes and the Car now Runs Drives & Stops great - Motor sounds great and the power steering makes it a pleasure to drive !!!
It has 38477 Miles on the Clock - its most likely its 138477 - but you never know - its even still got the original owners handbook in the glove box !!!
It will need to be checked thru in the engine transmission brakes and suspension department for sure before it hits the road again as it hasnt been registered for 25-30 Years
Its still a projectcar but a bloody easy one
Just Imported from USA this is a Real Clean & Original Car
It Can be Registered in all States a Left hand Drive - I have Import Approval Permit etc .
The Body is Real Nice and Straight - it has got a few minor dings around the place but all real easy to fix before painting - this is an original paint car - but the cover didnt help the paint - will need a coat of paint to make it real nice again.
All the Glass is Real Nice except the left rear door glass which is cracked and all windows roll up and down ok - I tried to get a replacement door glass - but didnt have any joy - it is a flat piece of glass so - glass place could cut one off sample - or its is the same as Aussie 1959 Ford Glass too - and the Passengers Door Lock isnt latching properly so will need some attention - it some with a few spare parts including a Dash Cluster, Hubcap and Ashtray etc etc !!!
The Interior will need an Upolstery Kit, Headlining and Carpets just the usual stuff - all upolstery kits etc available from Various Suppliers in USA for these cars - I ordered replacement a Hoodlining for it
Its getting impossible to find almost Rust Free 1959 Cars these days anywhere - Let alone a real cool looking Rare Edsel that Seats 6 Adults with Ease
The Last Photos shows how good this car would look with a paint job and some TLC!!
