EF Ford XR6

This is a one owner genuine XR6 vehicle and bought new in Canberra in November 1994 (original invoice and service history book with car). This car has only been driven by family members.
Original colour was Polynesian Green in perfect condition. In 2004 my son spent $000’s to respray in a chameleon colour. Pictures to follow.
The car has not been running since January 2010 (last rego) but I have regularly turned it over and taken in for very short runs in the street to keep it ‘ticking’ over.
The car still has the original Tickford motor with 320,000k’s. Engine bay is exceptionally clean. Starts first time every time and is strong but showing its age. Never had a head problem or leaked water as is common with these cars. The gearbox is a 4 speed auto and was reconditioned in 2009 and changing without problems last time driven on the road.
The car has been looked after and in very good condition overall (please see comments below).
For a small investment the successful purchaser will get a very original XR6 with heaps of spares to make an excellent running car.
Engine

All the gaskets and set of NELSON cylinder head bolts (still in box) to use if head is changed on either engine.


Exhaust
Rear exhaust from muffleris 3.5’’ and has a great strong sound to itAll mufflers appear to beokay with no leaks, but have not been under car to check it outAs new extractors comewith car, to be installed

Wheels/tyres
Car comes with 17”Avanti’s with poor tread (will need replacing for rego);Original spare 15” XR6in boot, never used, also another spare if required (new tyres);Also the car is shownwith an 18” wheel from a BA XR6 – I have a full set and these can benegotiated in final purchase price if interested.
Bad Points
Drivers side rear door waspushed in by unknown vehicle (door is still in alignment, and closesperfectly). A small panel beating job or replace door (see pics);Drivers door has alsoslight surface scratches, nothing major;Rear bumper has had aslight push, nothing major ;Front windscreen iscracked and needs a replacement for rego;Smart lock workssometimes (common fault with EF’s).
