1980 Ford Escort Rally Pack
Up for sale is a genuine 1980 MKII Escort Rally Pack sedan
We bought this car 16 months ago as a Father/Son project needing a lot of work to get it running, however, as with many teenagers these days the loss of interest has left it unfinished.
This is the model with the 2 Litre Pinto and 4 speed gearbox, Weber Carb, Drop tank, Rear mounted fuel tank filler (behind Number plate), and rubber spoiler.
We have installed a spare engine to get it running (another RS2000 2Ltr Pinto), which has absolutely no water or oil leaks, runs and starts very easily. The original engine with matching numbers is also there, and was a good runner but had a small main seal leak, and we decided to reco it while it was out, but have not had time to do it.
The bodywork is 95% done, with some finishing required and painted. Wiring needs to be re-connected but is all there.
The car comes with the parts to put it back together, except carpet ($140 on ebay), and many spares we accumulated during the project.
Spares included are;
Extractors, Rally Pack Engine, good gearbox, original wheels with caps, lights, diff axles, cables, dash clusters, rubbers, Manifolds, original Steering wheel, and lots of other bits in boxes.
This project has cost us in excess of $5k, although I am willing to let it go for much less to get it out of my garage.
