The time has come to sell my much beloved little piece of history.
If you are looking at this car its for a reason only people with a passion will understand.
Every car nut knows the ford escort is a true rally car and are one of the most fun and enjoyable cars to drive.
My particular escort is a RS2000 two- door with matching numbers!
There is next to no rust in the car.
The gear box and engine are in great condition, always starts and runs well.
The car is currently registered and more rego can be put on.
The car has all the RS little decals which make it very appealing to the eye.
The car has a straight through pipe.
New yokohama semi-slick tyres on the front and I have the other two just waiting to go on.
I have the old twin Dellorto's which will come with the car. ( I told them off because they were running a little rich and needed a tun up)
Recently I have had almost every perishable item on the car replaced at great cost.
Some of the things which have been taken care of:
all fluids changed
I have had a new carbie made up for the car
new wheel cylinders
New Brake hoses
New Engine Mounts
New steering rack
New steering coupling
New Uni joints
New Gear box mounts
Inner control bushes
Rear Sway Bar
etc.
For its age it drives very well, but keep in mind you are driving a piece of history not a new car.
This is a very honest little car.
They are easy to fix and great fun to drive.
The prices of these cars just keep going up as you see fewer and fewer of them for sale, so grab yourself a bargain.
Keep in mind this is an auction and all bids are final. If you bid you bid to buy and not come and have a look.
I recommend to all bidders to ask questions and to view the car if you can- this is your decision and choice.
Payment in full must be be 5 days and the end of the auction and the car must be collected after 10 days.
I will not accept Paypal. only Cash on pick up, Bank cheque or direct deposit.
