Ford Escort RS2000

For Sale is my beloved two door RS2000. This car is a 1980 build which i believe was the last month the RS2000 was produced in Australia so could this be the last RS ever produced in Aus? 4 speed manual with twin 45mm webbers. Car drives well but would benefit greatly from having a good tune as it runs a little rich. Has a reconditioned radiator and runs cool all the time. All gauges on the instrument pod work. Comes with factory radio which is not connected up to the speakers. Interior is in good condition with seats being re-trimmed by a previous owner. The body of the car is in good condition but by no means perfect, there is a couple of surface rust bubbles on the right rear quarter and some bubbles on the right hand side fire wall and bumper bar. A re-spray would make this car near immaculate. Car has been lowered at some stage and looks great on the road. This car is also registered till the 31/8/15 so you wont need to organize a tow truck you can just drive it home! The pictures of the car speak for themselves. I have to stress this is a very reluctant sale, im in no rush to sell this car so no stupid offers, no tire kickers and definitely no test pilots! If you bid on the car you are bidding to buy not to have a look! So only people with a genuine interest of buying and owning a genuine RS to bid please! Also comes with letter of authenticity from Ford and some of the history of the car that I managed to track down.
