Here for sale is my 1998 Ford Escort GTI in charcoal green (best colour)(rare)
THIS IS A VERY RELUCTANT SALE!
Ihave owned the car for just over six months i bought the car with theintention of making a 2.1zvh turbo but due to my daughter been bornfunds are required elsewhere.
Before she arrived i have spentover £2000 in body work and parts, the body work needed alot ofattention. I have had 2 new rear quarter panels fitted, 2 new frontwings fitted, rear valance fitted, front slam panel repaired, new bootlid & N/S sill repaired. The full car had a professional re spray inits original rare colour charcoal green including brand new badges atsilly prices, i have to emphasize the quality of the workmanship of thepaint & body work this is no back street garage job.
As akeen ford enthusiast i was keen to get in my opinion the best wheelsavailable to suit the car so i chose a set of 17" RS7 softlines whichhave been fully refurbished and powder coated NOT painted these wheelscost anything up to £1000 in mint condition, also fitted a brand new setof tyres to these.
I wanted the car to drive like new so fitted the following parts all new!
Front brake disc's & pads
Front anti roll link armsN/S & O/S Track rod endsRear brake drumsRear wheel cylinders
Rear brake shoes
Cambelt & water pumpCoolant change
Oil,Air & Fuel filter changed
New 5W30 engine oil (comma)
New 3 piece clutch kit (receipt to prove) including gear oil
Brand new 4" magnex exhaust (middle & back)Front pipe exhaust
Catalylic converterLambda sensor
Front & rear shock absorbers60mm lowering springsFront calipers refurbed & painted4 new tyres (1 month old)
Thecar drives superb with no clunks or bangs, the engine runs very well,quite from cold & the gearbox has smooth changes with a nice bite tothe clutch, the interior is in mint condition and all refinments workas they should.
From the factory she has come with a few rare extra'sthe paint for 1, electric mirror's, electric windows, electric drivers seat, A/C,passenger air bag (very rare).
I bought her for a investment for thefuture shes not a classic as it stands but soon will be. All the hardwork has been done here and can now just be enjoyed, any trial welcomethe photo's do not do justice here and needs to be seen to beappreciated. THE CAR LOOKS BRAND NEW SHOW READY!!
