Description
Ford Escort RS2000 1980 4 door
I have owned this for about 12 years now and have come to the realisation that it will probably never be finished,
so the time has come to let it go to someone who is willing to give it the attention it deserves.
This car has a hell of a lot of potential in the right hands.
The good:
Engine bored to 40 thou, lightened and balanced, shaved head, cam, big valves.
Adjustable cam pulley, extractors, adjustable fuel regulator, twin 10 inch thermo fans.
Sierra 5 speed with quickshift. Heavy clutch.
Original scheel seats all in great condition.
No rust in bulkhead or around strut towers.
Battery tray moved to boot.
Alloy fuel tank cover (looks like drop tank but isn't)
New heater core. (heater box not installed, is in the boot)
All interior trims that are not fitted will be found and will come with the car including lower dash trims.
Roof lining still in good condition, just dirty.
Went pretty well while it was on the road.
Any other bits and pieces found will be supplied with the car.
The not so good:
Engine has not been running for a long time and would need a freshen up.
Twin carbs were sold so the old single webber has been slapped back on.
Some minor trims missing, but may be located before sale, ie p/s/r door trim.
The wheels that were on it were sold hence none in pictures, will update listing soon if I find another set to fit.
Slight dent in middle of d/s/r door.
Small rust hole in lower d/s/f guard.
Some rust in lower d/s/r wheel arch.
Rust hole in channel above d/s/r quarter window (normally covered by black plastic vented trim)
ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK
can supply more photos if required.
