Description

I am selling a 1968 Ford Econoline 100 "Supervan". No window's Panel Van. 6 cylinder, automatic transmission. Needs a full restoration. Only 7,600 miles showing on the odometer, seems to be the original motor. It is not currently registered has been sitting since 2013 and would need to be towed. The history of the 1968 vans are, when this van was first being produced in 1967, and it is the first model change after 1967, there was a workers strike that stalled the production for several months. This pushed production into January of 68. Instead of calling it a 1968 or 1968 and a half, they branded it as a 1969.I have researched it extensively. I found only ONE in the whole country in Michigan, a survivor . Most of these vans went to the military or companies as fleet vehicles. Not many went to private parties. This particular van was purchased by "United Air Lines" as a fleet vehicle and still has faded United decals on it as well as a "United" hour counter mounted in the dash. It has GREAT bones for restoration. Very little body damage though someone blew out the front windshield. There was never any interior other then the front seats so you can see that there are zero dents coming through the inside walls of the van that would indicate it was ever in a major accident. All FLOOR PANS AND PANELS ARE SOLID, no rusted through metal ANYWHERE ON THIS VAN. The motor will start up but needs work. "Easy restoration". All fluids have been changed out and I just put a new fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel lines. The headlights, windshield wipers and even the cigarette lighter works. All door seams line up perfectly. I also have some spare parts for the van, that I was going to sell separately. I have an additional front grill, complete drive shaft, radiator and both front and back chrome bumpers. I'm willing to include the bumpers that are in great condition better than the ones that are currently on the van at no additional cost. Those are worth approx. $300.00 resale. I also found a new front windshield and weather stripping locally in Los Angeles, the cost is only $297.00 uninstalled. If you're interested I could give you the contact# to the vendor. I have the Clean Title. Only registered twice. It has been parked since 2013 and when I got her she fired right up. But it does need work to get her running properly. This rare find would be an easy & fun restoration. Would make a great work van or cool Surfer Van, Unlimited potential, one of a kind!
