Description
As most Econoline lovers know, the Econoline Pickup was only produced from 1961 through 1967. This 5 window 62 was purchased non running by previous owner just over 5 years ago. He had intentions of restoring but could not follow through for health reasons. He replaced the master cylinder & brake lines, tuned it up and got it running again. He also replaced the front windshield with new, all other glass is original and in perfect condition. Windshield has new seal, others will need replaced eventually. Paint is a poor flat black rattle can job by the looks of it, however body is surprisingly straight.
All I have done is give it a good clean up, and rip the nasty shag carpet out off of floor pans. As you can see there is very little rust at all in cab area, it does have some rust areas in bed, and along the bottom seam at bottom of bed. You can see these areas in photos. It looks to still have the original 144ci inline six. All lights work, all gauges with the exception of gas gauge works. Motor seems to have great compression and starts up first time every time, no smoke. It will need an muffler as the one it has now is burned out. The body for the most part is very straight, a few small dings here and there as seen in photos. It is not perfect by any means, but it is a running, driving 62 Econoline Pick Up that will be a great head start if restoration is what you are after.
If you want to get into a classic Econoline without breaking the bank, this can be the one. I primarily collect the 67-77 Ford F-100's & F-250's. Those I can tell you everything about, these not so much. If you desire any other photos at all please just ask I usually get back within 12 hours with whatever you would like to see. While I have not sold many rides through ebay, all that I have have received 100% positive reviews as you can see on my profile. I do my best to give an honest description on any vehicle I have sold as I have with this one. While mileage reads 79,448 this could have turned over many times. However as rough as these old things ride, I can't imagine myself putting that many miles on one!
Any bidders with 0 feedback must message me with contact info prior to bidding or your bid will not be accepted.
I will also be glad to assist in lining up a reliable shipper if help is needed.
A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction close.
With NADA low values at 8,000, and medium values at 15,600 and continuing to rise, this little Econoline Pick Up is going to be a great deal and investment for the winner of this auction!
***The truck is being relisted as previous buyer had a death in the family and could not follow through with purchase. If it does not sell during this auction we will be selling the truck locally.
Good luck to all and again if you have any questions, or desire additional photographs please just ask, thanks!
