Description
For sale is my 1965 Econoline Falcon van. She's in excellent condition and currently has collector status. Original driveline with 85,000 miles on a strong running 170ci inline 6 that happily cruises 60mph and doesn't wander all over the road! Comes with a manual transmission "3 on the tree" that shifts smoothly. All the mechanical components (starter, radiator, suspension , steering, exhaust system) are in very good working order. This van also comes with the sought after retracting side entry step. She's got new 15" tires.
No rust! Perfect frame, body panels, roof and floors. The van received a high quality paint a few years ago and it still looks like new (morempictures available, including some of the small imperfections). All the glass is perfect and every windows and doors seals are like new.
The interior was recently completed. All the walls and doors (except front doors) were fully insulated for sound and heat with a layer of Dynamat, 1/2" closed cell foam and 2" of Roxul insulation (none of these materials will absorb humidity and therefore will avoid rust issues). The floors have a layer of Dynamat followed by 1/2" closed cell foam and 3/4" plywood while the walls are 1/4" plywood with the nrare original fiberglass paneling (they could use a fresh coat of paint). The ceiling is a light coloured shag carpet, gotta keep some 60's nostalgia after all!
The rear bench is made of high quality automotive foam and has three sets of seatbelts. The bench also converts into a large and cozy 54"x77" bed. Part of the bed is a roomy storage box directly behind the bench. It is large enough to easily store six milk crates! I'm also working on a tall cabinet for the rear passenger's corner, who's to argue with extra storage! There's also storage directly under the bench.
This van has been great for me and my family but I recently found a '65 Econoline Travel Wagon so sadly I need to let this one go. She's a 50 years old van so not perfect but pretty close! It's been well cared for and has been trouble free.
I will assist with the import/export of the van to the USA if required. Fun fact, this van was originally purchased from the Rebsamen Ford dealership in Arkansas.
For the boring part;
I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.
Happy bidding!
