1979 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT

1979 Ford F100 Ranger XLT long bed truck. 351 v8 engine, automatic. Odometer shows 87k miles. I was told by previous owner that this is actual, but I do not have proof. New valve stem seals, valve cover gaskets, plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor button, starter, new dual exhaust running out in front of both rear tires, almost new tires. Runs and drives great. Needs carburetor work, it idles too fast. I believe that it needs a headlight switch, sometimes the park and dash lights will go on and off. Cruise control works great, A/C compressor comes on, but does not get cold because the temperature selector on the dash does not work, heat works great, switches from floor to defrost to dash like it should. AM/FM radio is not hooked up, so I do not know if it works or not. As far as I know, it has been in North Carolina since new. The only rust in the whole truck are 2 small places on the head board of the bed near the bottom where someone left something in the bed(as you see in the pictures). The body, cab mounts, core support, floor boards are all rust free. I am the 4th owner of this truck. I do drive it occasionally locally, but I have not taken it any further than about 15-20 miles from my house. Needs the felt around the windows in the doors replaced, and the outer weather strip on the doors. Dash, headliner, sunvisors, and door panels are in very good shape. the seams in the bottom of the seat are separating, and the carpet is faded. Original jack is still under the hood, and the jack handle is still mounted behind the seat. With a little time and work this could be a super nice truck.
