Description
This 1950 Ford F1 is a matching-numbers pickup with a fully refurbished interior and exterior, and powered by its original 239ci flathead V8 and 3-speed manual transmission. A blue respray over a new black leather interior were added at the time of the refurbishment, as was a dual exhaust system, a 8-volt electrical system, and replacement bed planks with new hardware. This F1 has a rebuilt carburetor and a new fuel sending unit and is offered with clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
Work performed during the 2013 restoration consisted of a blue repaint and a re-chromed front bumper. has bright accent work for the hood grilles, emblems, door handles, and windshield wipers. The flare-side box features new wood planks and stainless-steel hardware. Notable items include fender-to-fender running boards, chrome trim, polished dual exhaust tips, and an embossed Ford insignia centered on the tailgate.
Factory 15” steel wheels have full chrome covers with dog dish caps and these are wrapped by new wide-whitewall tires.
Black leather replaced the factory cloth at the time of the restoration and it is complemented by matching door panels and a body-matching blue dash. Other features include chrome trim around the instruments and controls.
Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads 54k miles, approximately 5 of which have been added during the seller's 3-month ownership. The total mileage is unknown.
Power is provided by the original 239ci Flathead V8 mated to column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission. Recent work has included a carburetor rebuilt and the additional of a new fuel sending unit, while a 9-volt electrical system replaces the factory 6-volt setup.
