For sale at NO RESERVE: 1969 Ford F100 4x4 survivor, same owner from 1971-2021. Sold new October 2, 1969 at Tepee Motor Company in Forsyth, Montana and spent the next 5 decades here out west in Marlboro country. Correct and original truck with all five of it's rare original 5 hole 16 inch wheels, and original jack and tools. It's a solid old truck, it starts, runs, drives and stops, I'll call it a project as it does need a few things. Use as is at your mountain cabin or on the ranch, or take it to the next level. Motorcycle and items in truck bed not included. Have original manuals/brochures/Marti report as shown. I'll do my best to describe this specialtruck below, please see the Flickralbum with detail pics including undercarriage, and YouTube walk around and start up video.
Exterior: Mostly original Skyview blue paint, looks good from 20 feet and draws a lot of compliments down at the Co-Op feed store. Straight overall, there is a noticeable dent in the driver box side and a few minor dings. Left front fender has been replaced with an amateur repaint. Glass is good, windshield has a few wiper scratches. Dry high desert truck with no exterior rust other than surface in box. The roof drip rail, box seams, and hood hinge areas look good, thankfully we don't see the sitting-at-the-bottom-of-a-lake rot like the rust belt states. Underside does have some rust from mud holding moisture though, and floors needs repair. Of course we don't see frame rot here out west. Again, check the detail pics including underside in the referenced Flickralbum below.
Interior: Usable and presentable. Seat is torn under the blanket cover and dash has cracks under the mat. Original headliner in good condition. No rodents or smells. Could use new carpet, 70s shag is a bit dated. All gauges work, lights work(exceptturn signals, needs switch), heater and wipers work, parking brakeworks, radio works intermittently. Overall very functional rig, ready to drive as is.
Mechanical: Starts, runs, drives and stops. Original 360 pulls surprisingly strong, plenty of power. No dead cylinders or burnt valves, no noticeable smoke or major leaks. Truck was well maintained up until a few years ago, when long term owner became ill. Shifts fine and 4wd works, it has the factory Dana 21 transfer case. Brakes pull to the right, needs at least the right front brake wheel cylinder, they are about $10. Also needs radius arm(track bar) bushings, inexpensive repair if you can do it yourself. Gauges work, lights work(except turn signals, needs switch), heater and wipers work, parking brake works, radio works intermittently. Tires have good tread and no cracks, but they are bias ply, and follow every rut in the road. Steering has some play as is typical, and tires make it worse. Would need radial tires if you plan on highway speeds or daily use. Probably fine as is on the ranch or up at the cabin. As with anyolder vehicle, it willneed maintenance andrepairs along the way. THIS IS AN OLD TRUCK. If you haven't owned old trucks before, adjust your expectations accordingly. Also, if you live inastate with very strict vehicle inspections, they will no doubt andsomething for you to fix, so expect that. These trucks are noted forreliability and build quality, and are fairly simple to work on withgood parts availability.
