Up for auction is a 1957 Ford F100 Custom Cab Big Rear Window Truck. The truckwas purchased by my grandfather (He was the 3rd owner) in 1971 and he drove up until about 1977 then parked it in his barn due to it having a bad clutch. He had another vehicle to drive at the time, so he decided to let this one sit. The truck has been in storage since then and is a true barn find. I got the truck from my grandfather this past spring as I had plans to restore it, but I don't have the time to work on it now as I am starting a business.
The truck has a 272 Ford Y-Block V-8 (Engine is stuck from sitting) with a 3 speed on the column manual transmission (Trans seems to shift ok). It is a nice original truck (especially for being from the Midwest), but it does have some rust (worst areas are the cab corners, floors, and running boards). The frame is solid on it. The truck is pretty complete and is stock. In addition to having the Custom Cab Package and Big Rear Window, it has the optional front and rear chrome bumpers and bed mounted spare tire carrier. Everything that comes with the truck is included in the pictures. I did tear down the top half of the engine, but still have all the parts and they are included. It does have the ECZ Y-Block cylinder heads which are very desirable among collectors. I also will be including a seat that fits in the truck that will need to be covered along with the rims that were on it when I got it (neither are pictured). The starter and generator were rebuilt this year and there are also some other parts and manuals that I bought that are included with the truck (See pics).
The original speedometer broke many years ago and a replacement was put in, so I have no way to confirm the mileage so it is being sold as mileage exempt. I do have the original speedometer for the truck and will include it.
The truck is being sold "As-Is" with noreturns or guarantees. I have a clean Indiana title for the truck thatis my name in hand. What you see in the pictures is what you arebuying. Truck is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
LocalPickup Only (Truck is located in Goshen, IN 46528). Please Note: The truck will need to be trailered and is not drivable (Truck does roll though). I would recommend having some kind of a winch to pull it up on a trailer.
