Description

1950 Ford F-1 Pickup. This truck has a Ford 400 Modified Engine. I am told this is the same block as the 351 Cleveland. It is a two barrel engine with a C-6 Automatic Transmission. The truck is showing 69801 miles. This may be correct or may not! The Engine and Transmission have about 60000 miles on them and came from a 1979 Ford F-150 Pickup. The truck has a long list of new parts. I will try to list them all, but may forget a few things. The Engine has a New Starter, New 12 volt Alternator, New Fuel Pump. It has dual exhaust all the way out the rear. The complete Brake System has been rebuilt with new Master Cylinder, Wheel Cylinders, Shoes, Lines and Hoses. The Body is very solid with little rust and not too many dents and dings, but it is 65 years old and not perfect. This was originally a Mobil Service truck. The Mobil logo, on the door, was much smaller and badly faded. It was copied larger, just for looks. The Glass is all good with new seals and felts. The Windows roll up and down and the vent windows open. The doors open and close and latch. There is a bad spot on the left front edge of the hood. I am posting a good picture of this. The truck has a complete set of original 16" wheels with hub caps and trim rings. The Bed has wood strips in the floor, similar to the original. The bed has some holes in the side where I believe hooks were once mounted for tie down straps. The Tail Gate is good, but has some minor rust and dents. The truck has carpet and a nice looking seat. I am posting a picture of the floor to show how solid it is and that the carpet is not hiding rust holes. The Steering Wheel is not original and probably came out of a later model Ford Truck. The shifter is out of a later model Ford and the shaft was modified to make it easy to reach and shift. All the lights and gauges are connected. All of the lights are new. The headlights are Halogen. Everything has been changed to 12 volts. The gauges have a 6 volt transformer to allow them to operate. The truck has everything it needs to run and drive except fuel and a battery and maybe an electric fan. There is not really enough room under the hood to store a battery and I was thinking about putting an old soda cooler in the bed for that purpose, but didn't get around to it. There are still a few things that need to be completed before it can be driven, but it has all of the hard work done. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am having to sell this truck. It sells to the highest bidder without reserve. I will be able to assist with loading and may also be able to provide transportation, for a fee, within a couple of hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I will try to answer any questions through email.
