Hey all,Got a nice example of a classic Standard Cab, Short Bed, 2wd Ford F100 (F-100) Custom up for auction.Real popular these days to turn into a restomod custom sport truck.Coming to you in that beautiful baby blue patina with Atlas Whitewall Portawalls and chrome baby moons, to give it that extra level of class.Paint has been thoroughly scrubbed and treated with boiled linseed oil to preserve the patina. It’s mostly original with the exception of the wheels and tires, and a salvage yard radiator that I just swapped out.It has Ford’s virtually indestructible big 300 ci (4.9L) inline 6 cyl engine, and the the super fun and unique “3-on-the-tree” three speed manual transmission.Be the only one on your block who still knows how to drive one!Interior is in good condition.Dash pad is in great shape. The seat is getting a little soft and starting to crack but still intact and fully functional.Headliner is good.Passenger side door panel is loose and needs adjustment. Not going to sugar coat it…, it does have rust.Frame and drivetrain are solid though. The passenger side seems to have taken the brunt of the rust.Driver’s side is pretty good. The rust could be fixed if you wanted to go that route.I’ve found all of the replacement parts online for pretty cheap.I have some more detailed pics of the rusty spots if you want to message me for them. Also have a few videos of it running and a walk-around that I couldn’t post for some reason. It’s been a fun project. It runs and drives well.Fires right up and idles effortlessly.Transmission and clutch shift and engage smoothly.Drives like a 70’s truck.Front is a little floaty and the brakes pull a little to the left on hard stops.Lights, gauges and electrical all work.Heater too.Brake lights aren’t lighting right now so I’ll have to check those out.Has a clean title (in the previous owners name).Never got around to transferring the title to me.The plan was to keep working on it and driving it.I planned on leaving the rust and patina and just driving it for fun.Next on the list was to lower it for that rat-rod cruiser look.Unfortunately plans change and cash is now more important than my weekend cruiser. So hopefully this will go to someone who wants to preserve it, restore it, and/or just…, enjoy it.Happy Bidding!
