One of the more notable elements of the new styling was the body sides, which had a concave body character line going across the upper portion of the sides, containing the side marker lights and the front turn signals fitted in line with it. These were mounted for the first time in Ford light truck history over the headlights. Another element that was all new was the Style side pickup box. Ford introduced the 400 V8 engine in 1971 as a replacement for the 390 V8. Known as the 351 Cleveland's big brother provided quick acceleration in medium to heavyweight vehicles, yet was smaller and lighter than the FE V8 Engines and the 385 Series Ford V8’s. The Ford 400 engine was based on the 351 Cleveland. It had a longer stroke than the Cleveland, making it the longest-stroke Ford pushrod V8 engine ever. It was labeled 400 cu in, but it actually displaced 402 cu in (6.6 L).This truck is in excellent condition, looks as good if not better than it did the day it rolled off the showroom floor.
