Description

WOW!! So you want an amazing truck that works beautifully and is an absolute beauty! Like a REAL beauty!? Well here it is! A 1978 Ford F150 Ranger **460 BIG BLOCK. A great running/driving with a 460/C6 AUTO combo! Dual exhaust with stainless steel pipes! Yes, please!

If you think these photos are pretty, you should see it in person. It’s a show stopper and I do mean, people wait by it when I’m in stores, people wave at me when driving, everyone wants to know (and take pictures by) this amazing truck (it’s been on the local TV station). It runs so beautifully. AND FAST. I can’t tell you how many Dodge Chargers want to race. It is THAT fast. And it PURRRRRSSSSS like a kitten!

I’m a military veteran and will do my best to be totally honest about the condition (which is pretty darn excellent, but read on). When I bought it there was rust starting on the doors and near wheel wells, just a little, but enough to make an anal person like me take action. So in 2019, I had the truck taken apart by a professional auto restoration company, all the rust taken out, repaired and then painted with two stage paint (it was light blue when I bought it, a Ford color in 1978, and I had it repainted light blue because, well, it’s gorgeous). It was good looking then, it’s amazing looking now. And since the day I got it returned to me from having the rust work done, it has never, ever, sat outside in the Florida sun or rain. Not one minute. Oh, two things. First, I use a professional detailer for all cleaning and waxing; and two, if I say I had something done, please know that I have ALL receipts, every single one, to back up what I’m saying.

There is a lot amazing about this truck and one thing is surely the truck bed. Not only does it have a liner, it has a waterproof locking Tonneau cover that matches! It’s fantastic! And how about those custom oak rails? Yeah, they look amazing. The inside is so beautiful. Not one rip in the seat fabric. Not one. There are NO scratches and NO dents. I just can’t say enough how pretty, hot, sexy looking this truck is in person inside and out!

Issues? The one issue is that the a/c which worked amazing when I bought it (like freezing), stopped blowing cold, so I went to get it fixed and sure enough, the part we need is months away from being shipped (a/c control head) . So that’s one issue, the truck had great a/c, and it can have it again, it just needs to be fixed.

The Crager wheels and tires. I would probably replace them if I kept the truck. I was about to put on BF Goodrich All Terrain, but decided to sell, so that’s for the next owner.

What have I had done to it since I bought it? A lot. $5,335.41 worth of work from THE best vintage car auto body shop here in St. Petersburg, FL (and yes, I have ever single receipt;) (belts, fuel pump, power steering pump & belt; front motor mounts and a lot more)

What’s not original? The steering wheel (which can easily be replaced), is obviously not the original. But I’m telling you, that steering wheel is way easier to turn and navigate than the one that came with it. What else? Well, the mid-section with the custom made two coffee cup holders and the pioneer speakers, which hook up to the ALPINE, CD and USB/Bluetooth/Auxiliary cable sound system. That was not there in 1978;) The sound system is AMAZING. There was a Kenwood in there when I bought it, but I’m an ALPINE person, so that’s that. Your Led Zeppelin or Rush or punk rock or country tunes will never sound so good while you cruise around town with everyone waving at you. (During the holidays I drove it around playing Frank Sinatra Christmas tunes and that was just fun;)

DEPOSIT? $2,000.00 (two thousand U.S. dollars) when the auction ends and full payment within 72 hours after the auction has ended.

Shipping: Local pickup or you can have it shipped to you. I’ve bought vintage motorcycles and trailers that were located in other states on eBay. I have had them shipped to me and the shipping always works great. So if you’re in Portland, Oregon or somewhere out West, don’t let that stop you from owning this killer truck.

Warranty? This truck is sold as is. There are no warranties express or implied.

Questions? I am very good at answering emails promptly. Please ask any and all questions you want!

GOOD LUCK with bidding! Someone is about to get a great running and drop dead gorgeous truck!
