Description
For sale is a 1979 Ford
F250 Ranger 2wd with a 460 CID engine. The truck and original engine have
approximately 71,000 miles on them. The original automatic C6 was swapped out
in 2015 with a Borg Warner T-18 4 speed transmission in 2015. This was done with
the L&L products kit and not pieced together with a homemade setup.
Broncograveyard.com supplied all other parts not original from OEM sources. The
factory cruise control was disconnected as part of the conversion. Currently
the truck is on its 2nd owner and was purchased in 2013 after the original
owner traded it in to a dealership. The truck had approximately 67,100 miles on
it when purchased. OEM parts replaced since 2013: heater core, carburetor
(Holley 4160/manual choke), valve cover gaskets, cap and rotor, plugs and
wires, interior floor vinyl floor, master cylinder, front brakes and wheel
bearings, battery, and rear bumper. There is a 4 inch tear in the seat vinyl
that the original owner tried to repair. The original owner also had a modern
trailer brake controller installed. This has been removed, replace, and
disconnected. Upgrades since 2013: PMGR high torque starter conversion,
aluminum radiator, 1-piece aluminum driveshaft from Driveshaft Specialists of
Texas, 4 Gabriel load carrier shocks, and in-bed spare tire carrier (OEM parts),
and Retrosound radio. Both fuel tanks work fine. No body rust and original
paint. Some surface rust on frame/suspension, but nothing more than patina. The
original automatic column was retained the vehicle. Factory Cruise Control is disconnected but truck comes with all of the cruise parts. The truck comes with all
OEM parts that were removed for manual conversion: original C6 transmission
(worked perfectly when pulled), shift linkage, stock radiator, spare radiator,
OEM auto brake pedal, linkage, cooler lines, torque converter and flexplate,
and factory driveshaft. The spare tire in bed is a 16" rim off of an OBS
F250 and the truck comes with an extra 16" rim and tire not shown in
pictures. Stock 16.5" rims are on the truck. Truck is in good condition
with current Louisiana state inspection. Driven in town and on the weekends.
