Description

After 15 years the day has finally come to sell my 1976 F-250 Ranger XLT Camper Special. (Extremely LOW RESERVE!!!!)
Please Check out the video link of it running!! has 35,798 miles on the rebuilt long block crate motor.
This truck is powered by a 460 cid V8 engine paired with a heavy duty C-6 overdrive transmission.
Starts right up every time does not smoke and idles perfect. The motor is equipped with a #1406 barrel Edelbrock carburetor with a high-rise Edelbrock manifold and high output coil and vacuum advanced distributer.
Complete over haul of the fuel system was performed. Both fuel tanks with sending units have been replaced along with all rubber fuel lines, filter, and pressure regulator. Heavy duty electronic fuel pump has been added replacing the manual pump. Exhaust manifold was replaced with original and exhaust system replaced with dual pipe muffler exiting the side as original.
Braking system has been over hauled with new brake lines cylinders, and calipers. The rear drum spring kits were also replaced along with the brake cylinder and booster. As far as the suspension is concerned a heavy duty lift spring kit came with the truck when I bought it 15 years ago which are still on the rear. I just recently replaced the radius arm bushing along with the sway bar bushing.
I also updated the wheels with 18 inch aluminum wheels, rubber bed liner and sound system.

The truck is equipped with factory Air which I was in the process of converting it over. A new adapter plate has been installed with a new compressor and high pressure and low pressure lines. The evaporator core still needs to be replaced as well as the squirrel cage blower which squeaks a little at the start.
I have left the body as is for the mean time which has a nice weathered patina look to it. The body is straight minus a couple of small dents. One in the right corner of the hood as well as the right finder. There is also a small dent which is hardly noticeable on the rear panel past the passenger door.
The truck when I bought it had a camper which did rust a small part of the bed where the drain line was located. Being that it had a camper the prior owner could not provide me with a tail gate.
I have purchased a period correct tail gate in this sale along with the original wheels and hub caps which are in great shape. The truck has been in the south its whole life no rust on the quarter panels or floor boards. I’d say it’s 95% rust free cab corners rockers floor pans Door jams are all rust free driver side bottom rear quarter panel has very little rust nothing to bad though.
The only area that will require a small patch is in the bed.
The interior is all original except the grant wood steering wheel and C/D player. The carpet and seat cover was replaced a couple of years ago. All interior dash lights work as well as switches. Door panels, head liners and dash have not been replaced.
The one major negative is that the original transmission is beginning to slip and will need to be rebuilt. I am looking for some one who can take her to the finish line.
This truck would be the perfect restoration piece or leave the patina and make it a daily driver it runs and drives great.
For any more information please reach out to me. I'm transparent about the truck and know it like the back of my hand. If you would like to make me a offer to buy it now please feel free to call me at 770-374-771.
